You can't run it on this fake. You have to buy the original cable.

And on the other hand, buying an interface for PLN 35 and "wanting" to run VCDS version 10 is lame and naive to the nth power

I would like that too, buy for pennies and a program from the net and let it hula.

This cable will go VCDS-Lite, VAG-COM to version 409.1 (VCDS predecessor) and Polish VAG 2.5 and 4.9. For private purposes and older cars (up to about 2001) it is enough. For newer cars you need a cable with a K-CAN interface. Regards

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the user's issue with the VCDS 10.6.1 software not recognizing the Ross-Tech USB interface when using a VAG KKL USB cable for car diagnostics. Responses indicate that the user is likely using a counterfeit or low-quality cable, which is incompatible with the VCDS software. Suggestions include using VCDS-Lite for compatibility with the KKL cable and acknowledging that the original Ross-Tech cable is necessary for full functionality with newer vehicles. The conversation highlights the limitations of using inexpensive interfaces for advanced diagnostic software.
