    Hello,

I recently got a connection in Toya cable TV. I got a fixed IP starting with 85.89.xxx.xxx. On the toya website, you still need to set the MAC address of the computer's network card, so having the WR340GD router, I cloned the MAC address of my laptop's wireless network card.
In the WAN settings of the router, I have a dynamic address assignment and I get the local address 10.9.xxx.xxx from Toya's "scientific atlanta 2100" cable modem.

Externally, I am still visible as 77.237.xxx.xxx.

Any ideas what the setup should look like?

    Regards

Maybe describe in more detail how you have it connected, or draw a simple diagram if that helps. If the router is connected directly to the modem, then on the Toya website you set the MAC address of the router - exactly the MAC address of the WAN port, because you probably have a modem connected to this port. I don't know exactly how it works in Toya, but it should give the router an external IP right away.

There is something like that, that is
Cable Modem --> Router --> Laptop

Enter the router's WAN port mac address on the page (if it works as you wrote). In the router configuration, you will find it in the Status tab in the WAN section. Do not clone any addresses. After changing, reset the router and check what IP it assigned to it for WAN from automatic configuration.

In the FAQ on the Toya website they wrote:
    Quote:
In the TOYAnet network, the IP address (refers to the public address) is assigned to a specific network card (MAC) address, so you should contact the TOYAnet Support Department to make the necessary changes to the system configuration.

So maybe you need to give them a call?

    Problem solved.

    1. The MAC is to be entered in the network card of the laptop
    2. Stopping the DHCP service in the computer by cmd "NET stop DHCP"
    3. Turning off the cable modem
    4. Turning off the computer
    5. Turning on the modem
    6. When the CABLE light on the modem is on, turn on the computer.

Works. Thanks for your willingness to help :)
