    Hello

I looked through the topics about this refrigerator, and I did not find any similar problem.

As in the subject, the freezer works and I get the temperature I set on the display, the problem is with the refrigerator, it does not cool.

As far as I know, it's just one unit. The fridge has a no frost system.

I will describe the history of the refrigerator's operation, after switching on the power it works for several months and suddenly I see that the information about the temperature flashes on the display, so I turned off the fridge, defrosted it, plugged it back in and everything was fine again, after a few months the situation repeated again, so I did the above I did the procedure again and again I had peace of mind for a while. Well, this time from one similar event to the next was getting shorter and shorter, until recently, after 3 days, such a failure.

What's the problem ? In one integral unit, the freezer works properly and the refrigerator does not.

Has anyone encountered such a problem.

    Regards

    Hello,
I also have a Samsung RL34 fridge, only the older model - no display. Yesterday I noticed that the fridge didn't work and there was frost in the (working) freezer even though there is a no frost system. Today there was a service technician and he said that according to the manufacturer's recommendations, after 2-3 years of use, the refrigerator should be turned off once a year for 24 hours, so that everything defrosts and the system restarts. Apparently, somewhere in the back of the freezer, ice formed and stopped working. If defrosting does not help, replacement of the no frost system - PLN 600 :( . then it is better to buy a new refrigerator.

    Thanks for the answer
I turned off the fridge for about 20 hours, now it's on and working.
    So for now it's ok.

    Hello

It helped, but only for the next week, then I turned it off again for 24 hours and after a week of operation, the lime again.

When I was about to throw my grandfather out of the window, I changed the temperature of cooling and freezing on the external panel.

And surprisingly, it helped, and the fridge works to this day :)

I had the initial settings on the fridge 2 and on the freezer 20, and I changed the temperature in the fridge to 7 and I think I left the freezer 20.

    Greetings

Thanks for the quick reply :)
I'm at the stage of shutdown for 24 hours, we'll see what the effect will be tomorrow.
This morning, when I turned it off for 2 hours, after they were over, it turned on, cooled down to 10, the fridge and freezer to -20 and turned off and did not start again despite the temperature increase.
We'll see what will happen tomorrow on Monday, I have a service called as if defrosting did not help.

Hello, unfortunately, turning off for 24 hours did not help, the effect was that the fridge went down to 10 degrees and the freezer to -20 degrees turned off and did not start.

    Hello.
These are the typical problems of no-frost refrigerators.
    1. If the refrigerator turns off after a few hours, it indicates damage to the evaporator defrosting system (damaged heater - it should be about 350ohm, blown thermal fuse, damaged defrosting NTC sensor). The module waits for a signal from the ntc sensor for the temperature (+5-+10) of the end of defrosting, if it does not get a signal from the sensor, it waits. Turning the fridge off and on again solves the case until the next defrosting cycle.
PS Samsung parts are not expensive, a set of the entire evaporator with sensors and a heater is about PLN 250.
    2. If the refrigerator freezes the freezer well, there is a problem with the flow of cold air into the refrigerator
To check the fan (works only with the refrigerator door closed),
sometimes the light switch does not work (the light is on when the door is closed and the fan does not work)
Another problem is the damage to the so-called "damper", the diaphragm regulating the air flow to the refrigerator (when it is visible, it should rotate after turning on the power - such a self-test)
There is also ice blockage of the air distribution channels (24h defrosting is far too short to dissolve the ice blocks).
I propose to dismantle the back wall of the freezer and defrost it well with a dryer.
In any of these cases, check the defrost system (heater, ntc, etc
Regards and fruitful fight against no-frost

Hello, the service stated that the compressor needs to be replaced, the cost of PLN 700 on the service is blurred. :(

Topic summary

The Samsung RL34HGPS refrigerator exhibits a functional freezer but fails to cool the fridge compartment. Users report recurring issues where the fridge stops cooling after several months of operation, often resolved temporarily by defrosting the unit. Common troubleshooting steps include turning off the refrigerator for 24 hours, which has provided short-term relief for some users. However, persistent problems may indicate issues with the evaporator defrosting system, such as a damaged heater, blown thermal fuse, or malfunctioning NTC sensor. If the freezer operates correctly but the fridge does not, it may be due to inadequate airflow, necessitating checks on the fan and damper. In some cases, service technicians have recommended compressor replacement as a solution.
