Hello. I have the following problem, after connecting my Samsung 23TA350 monitor to my computer via HDMI, I have a misaligned (reduced) image. Ie. there are black stripes horizontally and vertically. The monitor supports Full HD. The resolution is set to 1920x1080 on the computer. The monitor recognizes the computer image as 1920x1080 as well. I would like to add that the image is also slightly scaled (the fonts are not readable). Radeon HD4550 graphics card + AMD driver package installed.

    - the image is displayed correctly on another computer via HDMI
    - I tried both HDMI sockets
    - I reinstalled the drivers
    - I was restoring the default settings on the computer and monitor
    - in the BIOS, the image is stretched across the entire screen span

    Where could the problem be?

    EDIT

I just discovered that at some resolutions (e.g. 1366x768) the image is properly stretched ...

When I connect the monitor to my computer, the "auto-fit" option is dimmed. I only have 16: 9, 4: 3 and several types of magnification. I downloaded the latest drivers from the ATI website and now, for a change, the image is big (it is clipped on all sides).
Admittedly, I can adjust it via the "scaling" option in the drivers, but the image is not correct anyway, the fonts are not readable and the colors are bright. After setting a resolution other than the native one (eg 1680x1050) the image is of better quality (good readability) and the colors are also "normal". So there is still something wrong.

The problem has been resolved, at least partially. The latest drivers are loaded, the scaling function is set to 0%, the monitor is set to "fit to width" and the image mode is "movie". The picture is of good quality, the text is displayed correctly.

However, in other image modes (dynamic / standard), the image is exaggerated and the fonts have such a glow / shadow - I have no idea why.
