Hello, the topic has already been on many forums, but the solutions I found there do not work in my case. So please do not send me to google search etc, because I have already done it.

My equipment is a Lenovo 3000 N200 laptop with so Vista Home Basic, a Realtek HD Audio sound card.

The problem is that the computer cannot see the built-in microphone. I've been using it for 5 years intensively and it tells me now that it's not there anymore :) A week ago it just disappeared! When selecting "Recording Devices" it says "No audio devices installed". The speakers are there and they work, the microphone is gone. In the Realtek manager it's the same, and in the device manager it says "This device is working properly" damn it! The drivers are, everything is the old way, but the microphone is gone and he knows where it is. Someone on the net had the same problem with Dell and the solution was to turn on the microphone in the BIOS. I was there too, but I didn't find anything about audio devices at all. Nothing can be turned on there.
Who can help, because I don't know where to look for a solution anymore.

    Hello.
The simplest solutions come at the end, try doing a system restore that helps often. Maybe you installed something new and drivers are conflicting.

I do not have a prescription for this. However, please follow my line of thought. I don't have Vista anymore. I have installed Win 7. As far as I recall, proceed similarly:
    1. Start / Control Panel / Sound
    2. Second tab Recording. Right click on the context menu and select (with ticks), show disabled devices and show disconnected devices.
    3. Select the default microphone device.
    That should fix the problem.

Thanks a lot henmales. This was the source of my problem, I don't know how he disconnected by himself, because I certainly didn't, but I already have him back :D

    Thanks again and best regards.
