Hello, I have a Samsung RL 38 for two years, it works fine all the time, but for a few weeks I noticed that in the freezer, under the bottom drawer, ice is gathering, which "flows" from the back wall of the freezer, but I don't know where exactly because this wall it is covered with a dummy, at night the ice melts a little and drips outside.
    I have questions :
    - what is the cause of water-ice flowing into the freezer?
    - how to dismantle this rear dummy (there is only one screw) and will I then be able to "do something" to prevent water-ice from dripping inside the freezer?
    - is the defect so serious that a service is needed and not, for example, some cleaning - the fridge is covered by "post-warranty repair insurance" can my possible cleaning cause the loss of this guarantee?
I am asking for help from someone who had the same problem with this model.

And check that the bottom freezer seal is tight when the door is closed.
Ice in the freezer will form when there is a crack somewhere and moisture from the air will condense on the cold elements and freeze in a moment.

Seals and doors are ok. - water flows down and freezes somewhere on the back wall of the freezer, under the PVC housing with air vents, frozen streams of water-ice come out from under this housing, which settles on the bottom of the freezer under the last lower drawer and sometimes (at night ) melts getting out (in the morning my floor is wet)

The freezer drain hole is probably clogged. Must be turned off for at least 12 hours. so that it defrosts well. In some cases it is enough and in some cases you still have to remove the rear dummy and manually unclog the hole. It is located at the bottom in the gutter under the evaporator. It should help.

Tomorrow I'm going to dismantle this dummy, it is attached with one screw, but additionally, probably on the latches, I'm a little afraid not to break them and not lose the warranty if it turns out that it's not that.
If anyone performed this disassembly and cleaning operation (if there is a gutter and a "clogged" hole underneath) in this particular model, thank you in advance for the hints.

Before disassembly, it is necessary to defrost so as not to break the plastics. There is an evaporator under the dummy straight ahead (looks like a radiator) under the evaporator there is a gutter into which water flows, and in the gutter there is a hole through which water should flow outside the freezer into the tank and evaporate. it is the water that pours into the freezer and freezes. all no frost fridges work the same

If it's under warranty, don't open anything, because you're not allowed to. Report to the site. Before doing so, only check at the rear that the outlet of the drain line (above the container on the compressor) is not obstructed.

hello again, today I dismantled the first dummy from the back wall of the freezer, under it there is a second dummy-housing with a sensor and a fan - I also dismantled it and only under it appeared the "evaporator-cooler" but in vain to look for any hole in the lower part - there is no there's something to clean up. The last tubes of the radiator lie directly on the aluminum tray in which there is no hole, the fact is that the tubes were all icy despite defrosting from the morning. I will put the whole thing together and if the icing repeats, I will call the service.
As for the condensate outlet, it is probably a through hole, although the trough looks brand new, without traces of any liquid.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the Samsung RL38HCIH refrigerator, specifically addressing an issue of ice accumulation under the bottom freezer drawer. The user reports that ice forms due to water flowing from the back wall of the freezer, which melts at night and causes water to drip outside. Responses suggest that the problem may be due to a clogged freezer drain hole, which can be resolved by defrosting the unit and potentially removing the rear dummy cover to access and clean the drain. Caution is advised regarding warranty implications when disassembling the unit. The user successfully dismantled the dummy covers but found no visible blockage, leading to the decision to reassemble and monitor the situation before contacting service support.
