    Hello,
Maybe the electrode is not the best place for such a question, but I have not been disappointed with the experiences of my colleagues yet.

I am looking for a very strong glue to glue soft rubber with. The choice on the market is huge, but I would like something proven, especially since it will probably be expensive ..

The crack is 15mm wide and the rubber is 4mm thick.

The joint should be flexible and carry high loads. It will be compressed, torn, twisted (max 15 degrees in 2 planes) and sheared.

Butapren and Cyanopan E do not stand.
I am able to spend about PLN 50-100 on glue, but I cannot afford to experiment with a few, so I hope that someone will be able to advise me on something that he used himself and knows that it is worth the price.

Thank you very much for your help!

Maybe one of the Loctite products?

Thank you for the quick reply.

Of course, I was thinking about Loctite (hence the assumption about the price up to PLN 100). But first, I don't know which specific glue to consider; only Loctite 480 appears on the search engine for "gum", which is probably the equivalent of a droplet. And if there is something for everything .. there is probably something better for specific applications.
And most importantly - I do not have any verified information whether it is really worth the money ..

Rather, the blob is the cheap equivalent of Loctite. I use 416 and 7452 for rigid joints, where it works perfectly - it can glue well-prepared aluminum surfaces. I know that they used to produce glue for flexible connections a long time ago and it also worked great, it was in the 1980s so there is no chance that I would remember its marking :D

Hello. Read about Terokal 2444 glue, or similar from the Terokal series.

Show the elements you want to connect and describe what it is for, because it may turn out that no glue can handle it.

Use droplets, super glue, gum glue doesn't need to be flexible, rubber is elastic, and that's enough.
It is probably the sole of a shoe, so each gluing will last for a short time, you can buy new shoes for a hundred.

The sole of the shoe is rather not squeezed, torn, twisted and sheared. It is rather some elastic element, e.g. a bellows, or some kind of flexible coupling.
If so, gluing such elements does not make any sense.

It all depends on what is to be glued. Butaprene is good for rubber. However, if you can give a patch, I recommend a vulcanization plant. They also have great adhesives in fishing waders (Storm)

Loctite 480 is not suitable for this type of application. It is very durable, but unfortunately it will not work with rubber. A few years ago I was gluing 4860 tubulars. Holes with a diameter of 4-5 mm are easily glued. At the same time, it worked with the entire tubular and withstood 8 bar.

Topic summary

The discussion centers around finding a strong adhesive suitable for bonding soft rubber with a 15mm crack and 4mm thickness, requiring flexibility and high load-bearing capacity. Users suggest various adhesives, including Loctite products, specifically mentioning Loctite 480 and 4860, although concerns are raised about their suitability for rubber. Alternatives like Terokal 2444 and hot vulcanization are recommended, with some users advising against gluing if the application involves significant movement or stress. The importance of using well-prepared surfaces and considering the specific application context is emphasized, as well as the potential for using professional vulcanization services for optimal results.
