    Hello.
Who knows how to repair a balcony door (plastic)?
The handle is spinning around and it does not close, I twisted it, oiled it and nothing.
I will be grateful for your help because it's getting cold. :)
    Greetings.
    Raphael.

    Hello,

On the walls of the balcony sash you have fittings (closing mechanism) installed and there should be a brand and marking on them.

The rest will be found in google :D

I found it on the door myself, the problem is that the 9C Series No. 17148 is not on the net yet

Remove the handle from the balcony door and by inserting a handle, e.g. from the door, check if the door closes and the mechanism is working properly If everything is OK, then the metal part of the handle (the square section) is too short and does not reach the square hole in the closing mechanism .

the problem still exists, the handle reaches but does not twist the mechanism. What's more interesting, when the locking bolts are lifted manually on the fitting, the square turns in the hole.

And how do you put something in this square and turn it around? Perhaps there is something to the connection in between
a stick (or whatever it is called) that goes into the square, and the handle - for example
there is an element that can be moved on it, through which the handle is to turn the pin,
and it is this element that has moved away from the handle so that it does not reach and turn it.

    Hello,

Most likely, the gear wheel has worn out in the place where the handle is located, i.e. the square hole is the center of the gear wheel, if there is no load in the form of a handle, it turns, if not, then without removing the whole door from the door, it is impossible to make a further diagnosis.

You know the button on the fittings. It is not that simple at all. The type that my colleague gave me does not tell me anything, because I am not a balcony door specialist, so there will be no specific advice, but I am struggling with this problem in the same way. And since I took it apart and analyzed it, I find it not that simple.

The reason for the defect are factory inaccuracies, this cannot be hidden. But how after many years to pursue you don't know which factory? Inaccurate fitting of the mechanism, inaccurate machining, and during normal operation, all this causes bending of the elements, their side friction and, as a result, excessive wear, contribute to the wear and tear of the mechanism.
Nobody probably counted these resistance, because what for? Szajs and crap. These are gills, like tinned food, they have slack in the guides, like from here to the moon, because who would care?
I fixed this by squeezing a metal clip almost the thickness of a paperclip between the outer guides (on both sides, for experimentation), but it helped for two days. Besides, the breech rack was still increasing the play and it did not have any effect.
Unfortunately! I have a balcony door that is just over 10 years old, supposed to be normal (these are already being replaced in the new system) and a button! There are problems to open them, there are also when I want to close. The search for such fittings on the Internet was unsuccessful. Probably the price will be higher than the new door. There are no such! Or they pretend to be dumb.

That is why I do not bode well for you, although I wish you success.

PS. Leave the handle alone, that's not the topic.

    Hello,
If a colleague would like to pursue the topic further, it would be necessary to remove the fitting from the door, put it on the floor with a measure along the length, what the scale would be and maybe it would be possible to read the manufacturer. help.

    I have a similar problem.
only for me, as if the guide of the "bolts" did not catch when turning the handle and I only hear the handle turns.
I tried to put something in the guides by pressing it in the place where the handle turns and it works. and I have a problem there, but I have no idea how to fix it myself.
because nothing stays there long enough for me to close and open without any problem.
    Maybe you have any ideas?

    Hello
Most likely, the bolt cassette has been damaged, it is most often made of metal and when the door starts to work harder it simply falls apart, I bought a new one online at okucia24.com. If you hit the type, the exchange takes 30-40 minutes. All you need to do is unscrew the handle and the bolts securing the strip with pins, the gear cassette unfolds in half, so all you need is a thin screwdriver. The real fun begins when you miss a producer and that's what happened to me. The cassette I bought was a WINKHASUS (the only one available) and I think the Roto movement. When trying to assemble it, it turned out that the casing did not fit anymore and it had to be treated with a needle (the damaged one was used as a model), time about 15 minutes. After adjusting the housing, another ... much more serious problem appeared. The cassette rack did not match the guide bar, different tooth thickness and pitch, no chance of fitting and please don't even try ... it's a waste of time. The only chance ... to use the rack from the damaged cassette and here another problem, the diameter of the old rack 13 mm, the slot in the new cassette 16 mm. The easiest way to use a steel reduction sleeve fi 13 on fi 16 with a thickness of 1.8 mm, if you have a familiar turner, he will do it in a few minutes, I took my door apart on Friday evening, so you could forget about finding a workshop. I made a sleeve from an ordinary eight washer by sawing the hole for fi 13 ... a bit of a watchmaker's job, but it was worth it. After folding, everything works fine.
    greetings
