    Hello all.
I have been fighting with the UPC network for some time. Disconnects, yellow triangular "network" icon appears. A moment ago there was a UPC service technician, we downloaded a 4GB file, observing the connection graph (30Mbit). He found the chart okay, not in my opinion. Can someone objectively comment on whether the link drops to 0% are normal, or should I terminate the contract?

    Wireless computer or cable?
However, if the option is, then try the other one as well to see if it is the same.

The chart does not prove anything. Transfer drops can be caused by the server.
You have to try transferring from different servers (well at different times).
On the other hand, connection loss is more worrying.
I understand that you have a computer connected directly to your modem.
    By cable or by radio.
It would be good to try on a different computer - will it be the same.

    Thanks for the answers.
Comp directly on the cable. Without a router and with a router, the graph looks the same.
    The modem is Scientific Atlanta.
I tried on 2 computers - the same.
I have tried from various sites that offer 0.5 or 4gb files for download - the graph ALWAYS looks the same. In my opinion, the line should fly evenly, according to the UPC technique it is ok because the pings from the wp respond for half an hour, and the graph does not appeal to him.

You can still update the drivers from your network card.

Here, see what it will look like

I have the controls up to date, besides, the graph looks the same on another computer. I also tried the page you gave. Could someone with a permanent link see how the graph looks like for him?

    such breaks are not normal.
If they still occur - advertise.
Have a technician come with a laptop and see it.

If his computer is good, and yours is bad, then you may still have a virus, or some other dirty thing - some program that regularly blocks the link.
(I fantasize a little, but nothing else comes to mind anymore)

check that all connectors on the coaxial cable are tightly crimped (that the cable sits stiffly in them) and that it is screwed on.

Once, such a loose F generated a lot of jitter on the voip, and all other parameters of the link were ok.

Gentlemen, I checked with a third laptop, borrowed for a while. With each test, I connect without my private router. I missed the cables, the technician replaced all the branches. The graph looks the same on all computers, so UPC gives you back. The technician is to come again, he will probably find that the chart is ok :(

    Hello
As a colleague wrote, check all the 'effects' at home and outside, up to the UPC wardrobe.
I had the same thing, there are 'barrels' for each apartment on the cage on each floor, and on this barrel there was one 'efka' not tightened.
Unfortunately, not every fitter is willing and willing to do his job and sometimes you have to correct it yourself :|

Show it to him on other computers, let him have a comparison and of course report the bug

I did a little investigation among the neighbors, the same in other places. There are 96 apartments, I think about 20 people have UPC, everyone has soapy eyes that everything is ok :( On January 8, the technician comes again ...

hey thanks for the posts. For me, there were two issues - the whole router had to be changed - the horizon was to be replaced and it helped. It doesn't break the internet.

The second issue - the problem was with loose connectors in the cable - "efki" as I think correctly, the Lord came, showed me his phones, showed that the graphs do not match. One graph showed that the graphs were glowing red - numbers and the other graph showed the signal spikes up and down.

After tightening the cables - effect - connectors, the problem is now gone. We'll see.

Once the gentlemen on the hotline changed the frequencies for me - setting 2 signals and it helped. Later, the internet on wifi was normal. For this I have a problem because these signals are weak and the walls made of reinforced concrete do not transmit - they do not pass signals so easily and this also makes the wifi work poorly.

I greet and wish you a good day, Adaś.

Topic summary

Various troubleshooting steps are suggested, including testing different computers, checking modem connections, and ensuring network drivers are updated. The user reports consistent issues across multiple devices and attempts to gather feedback from neighbors, indicating a broader problem. Other users share their experiences, highlighting potential causes such as loose connectors and the need for equipment replacement. The user plans to have a technician revisit to further investigate the issue.
