I have a problem with the yellowish-orange flame (pictured). I live in a block of flats where there is a gas installation for apartments.
I checked on the internet first and saw a lot of warnings that the yellow color of the flame may mean incomplete combustion and the possibility of producing carbon monoxide.
I called the gasworks - they stipulated that they did not change the gas composition and advised to clean the gas stove.
Then I checked my neighbors - how they had fire and it was similar - yellow and orange. I checked with neighbors in the same cage, in other cages, and even in other blocks. The flame was similar everywhere.
What is causing the flame to recolor? And is carbon monoxide produced?

And the nozzles are fine. Sometimes in the gas plant they throw some muck into the gas installation or the pressure in the gas installation is too low and sometimes they pump air to increase the pressure. Does the gas burn the same way at different times of the day?

It burns the same on all nozzles. The rest of the neighbors too. This surprised me because yesterday the flame was normal (blue) and today it is colorful. I can't say much about the time of day - only 2-3 days from now - the problem is just today.

If it burns with a yellow-blue flame, it also smokes ...

"I have Amica 53GE3.43ZpTaNR (W) kitchens and after a year the large burner began to smoke, I replaced the cap with a new one and it helped, unfortunately luck did not last long. After about a year everything repeated. by placing 3 nuts from 6mm bolts and I put a disk on them, the burner gets more air and no longer smells it is a primitive solution but only effective adds photo :) "

Orange humming flame, scorched pots, smell of unburned gas. grzegorz312 I also accidentally came up with the fact that increasing the gap helps. Yellow flame, smoke - this means incomplete combustion - not enough oxygen. The nozzles are 90% deformed, take a knife and pry the black circles 0.5mm-1mm high, the flame should get the correct color - very light, green-blue (turquoise) color - this means perfect combustion, maximum efficiency. Quick solution: put a 1 grosz coin under the black disc and the edge of the aluminum circle so that it protrudes a bit, it can be hidden, it is important that it does not fall inside and it will be OK or two steel wires of the appropriate diameter, resistant to temperature, you put on the aluminum disc in parallel so that the black disc is in a stable position. If the flame is too big then you have to take a 2.5mm cross screwdriver and turn the BMI screw clockwise to reduce the gas supply - that's it !!! However, grzegorza312's solution with nuts is the best and he will use them himself; -]. , I started to lose my patience and finally it worked, even small things when something doesn't work can be felt.
