    Hello,

two years ago I bought a Bosch KGN36A63 fridge, the fridge stopped cooling after half a year - there is a two-chamber top fridge bottom freezer one electronically controlled aggregate, no frost system. The refrigerator is located in a row of furniture, however, it has good air circulation. I ordered in connection with the symptoms and problems of the service technician, the service technician came, said that I had not defrosted the fridge to repair and left (in short). informed me that the refrigerators, although they have a no frost system, need to be defrosted preferably for two days once in six months. multi airflow refrigerator a fan system that blows cold air from the bottom of the freezer into the refrigerator compartment. I noticed that after about half a year this fan does not turn on and the fridge works worse and worse, I assume that it is frosted and mechanically blocked. Please help, is this a classic case and I have to deal with defrosting every six months, or something may be wrong and it needs to be serviced. does anyone have a service manual for it?

here is a description with photos for my fridge, https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic2467353.html

I undressed as it is written above, the whole steamer was an ice cube, after FULL defrosting - unscrewing and cleaning the fridge works, I checked the heater also ok, if in half a year the effect will be identical again, I will have to check the other elements and sensors.

just thaw it and you're done. If it happened every 2-3 weeks, then it would really be a problem.

Hello. The fact that it is good to turn off each refrigeration device from time to time and refresh it, but in my opinion, the freezing of the fan is some kind of anomaly. half a year (unless the light does not turn off or the door does not close properly, the seal is leaky). Unfortunately, I do not have a service manual and it would certainly come in handy in this case. not recommended and affects the effects of freezing. Regards

thanks for your interest, the fridge stands properly has adequate airflow around, no heating devices. I will see how it will behave in half a year and weda will definitely contact you, at the moment it cools very well. However, it probably shouldn't be that it should be defrosted every six months, after all, that's what this no frost system is for, to melt the ice from the evaporator, while when I disassembled it, the whole thing was one big block of ice.

So there is something wrong. I would suggest checking the evaporator heater and the operation of the fan if it does not blur, it has relatively high speed (I was repairing one such refrigerator and I do not remember what was the cause) Good luck in locating the cause. It is a pity that you let the repair go to the service, maybe the equipment would be replaced due to a hidden fault or the inability to repair it.

well, it didn't work much for 2 days, the temperature alarm turns on again, I will have to unscrew it again and check everything, please give instructions on what needs to be verified. The fan blowing air into the refrigerator works, the freezer cools, but I do not hear the de frost system, i.e. there is no characteristic crackle when defrosting the evaporator, however, when I de-iced the evaporator in February, the de frost worked because I remember that the crackling was there, after a while it stopped working, probably like tomorrow I will spin it all will be in ice :/

Old topic, but maybe someone will be useful for problems with no-frost refrigerators.
If the symptom of lack of cooling only in the upper part (refrigerator) appears 1-2 weeks after defrosting, check the elements of the automatic defrosting circuit (heater, fuses, relay, connecting wires).
If the evaporator (usually located behind the back of the freezer) is full of ice, the self-defrost system is not working properly. Accumulated ice and frost make it difficult for air to circulate and blow to the top.
The heater, and sometimes also the fuses, are placed under the evaporator and to check them thoroughly, everything must be defrosted.
An additional clue for this type of damage may be a completely dry water container located next to the compressor.

Topic summary

The Bosch KGN36A63 fridge, featuring a No Frost system, has been experiencing cooling issues after six months of use. The user reported that the fan responsible for air circulation stopped functioning, leading to frost accumulation and reduced cooling efficiency. A service technician suggested that despite the No Frost feature, the fridge should be defrosted every six months. Users in the discussion recommend checking the evaporator heater and the automatic defrosting circuit components, such as fuses and relays, if cooling issues persist. The importance of proper airflow and the potential for hidden faults in the appliance were also highlighted.
