    Hello,
I have a 128 integrated connected to the ETHM-1 via a Satellite RJ/pin5 cable, and connected to the local network.
Connection via www works without any problems, the problem occurs when you try to connect via DloadX, the following message appears: "Remote access to the control panel is blocked. Further communication is impossible."
Downloading is disabled and all keys match.
    Configuration:
Integra 128 & ETHM-1 Connection: Remote Access Blocked via DloadX, Satellite RJ/pin5 Cable Integra 128 & ETHM-1 Connection: Remote Access Blocked via DloadX, Satellite RJ/pin5 Cable
    Please help,
    Regards.

When choosing a connection, you connect through 1 or 2:
    1. TCPIP: Dloadx ->ETHM,
    2. TCPIP: Dloadx

In this configuration you should have ETHM/GSM answering selected instead of ISDN/GSM/ETHM modem

What's the problem? Because if with the fact that he "receives data all the time" - this is not a problem. So it has to be. It is such an indicator that "there is communication all the time".

    Hello!
Thank you for your answer. Headquarters gives me messages like this all the time.
What should I do or do I need to select something in the settings?

    I connect to the server:
    Connected.
    Module: ETHM-1 V1.05
    Receives data.....
The control panel is monitoring, wait....

I fought on different computers for several hours, when I exhausted all methods, I restored the factory settings of the control panel, programmed it from the beginning and it went right the first time :-)

Looks like an installation problem ETHM-1 at Integra Satel is not a rare case and the service manual itself is not always helpful, because there is no step-by-step implementation described there.
Considering that the posts of my colleagues helped me a lot when installing this module, I will try to gather my experience and describe the whole procedure step by step.

After connecting the modules to the control panel Integra 64 it remains to connect the card with a cable used to connect the RS-232 ports of the ETHM-1 module and the INTEGRA control panel with the RJ type socket. (Cable diagram in the manual "TCP/IP ETHM-1 communication module - page 4)

There is no need for an RS-232 cable to program other parameters, because everything can be done from the keypad.

    From the manipulator:
    1) ([SERVICE CODE][*][9] ) -> options -> options.phone
    a) External modem - set "Y"
    b) Answer modem - set "Y"
    c) ISDN/GSM modem - set "Y"
(set "T" with the "8" key, remove the marker with the "6" key)
    2) Structure ->Hardware->Keypads->Settings->ETHM-1->DloadX key
(set there any string of characters and then enter the same in DloadX)
    a) write back DloadX Port - by default 7090
    c) check if Z DloadX is "T"
    3) Status->IP/MAC ETHM-1 - check if an IP address is assigned

After these activities, ping ETHM-1 if it responds - which still does not mean that everything is OK if it responds to pings.

Now let's move on to the program DloadX . In the menu Communication->Passwords, phone numbers and verify that everything is entered as needed.

    TCP/IP connection
    - LAN/WAN
    - Server address: (enter the address assigned to the ETHM-1 card here)
    - Port: (if not changed then 7090)
    - DloadX key: enter the one that has been set

After that enter the menu Connection and choose: TCP/IP: DloadX->ETHM

Attention! Do not turn on Download on the keypad!

If, after initiating the connection, a screen appears with the following information:
Integra 128 & ETHM-1 Connection: Remote Access Blocked via DloadX, Satellite RJ/pin5 Cable

    That means it works :-)

    Attention!
If, despite correct settings, a message appears during connection via TCP/IP: DloadX->ETHM "Remote access to the control panel is blocked. No further communication possible" it will most likely only help to reset the control panel from the pins. The post above shows that my case was not isolated, so it can be concluded that there are such flowers in Integra control panels. Interestingly, from what I remember, in the fields DloadX server and GuardX server there were some "bushes" of several characters. After the control panel reset, these fields are empty. And most importantly - it works :-) .

Quite an unusual situation with the problem of the ETHM-1 card with Integra-64, so I will describe it. to 7090 via DloadX - even though the card responded to pings.
Only a hard reset from the pins helped, then it worked until the power was turned off.
    Then the same again.
After a two-day struggle, I left the control panel switched on for the night, and in the morning ... I saw that the manipulator was dead :(
I gave it for service, it was fixed, after two weeks it arrived to me.
I connected to the hub. I reconfigured the whole thing again, exactly as before.
After turning off the control panel and turning it on again, I was surprised to see that everything works fine!
Everything indicates that the cause of problems with the operation of ETHM-1 was a malfunctioning manipulator, which fortunately "burned out".
After all, they work on the same bus anyway.

I've been working on a newly purchased set since yesterday and it seems I'm having similar problems.

Briefly summarizing: I follow the above step by step, when I try to connect I get:

    20:38:53: Connecting to server: 10.1.1.77:7090
    20:38:53: Connected.
    20:38:53: Panel not ready, disconnected.

    What am I doing wrong?
I tried the pins (by the way - what do the pins give? I expected a factory reset, and the whole configuration stayed with me), ethm-1 ping, I am able to connect to the control panel directly via RS and via www.
Such a curiosity, less important to me at the moment: the GuardX program does not connect to me either. It asks for a password, then regardless of what I enter (I tried the same password as for DloadX, service, random numbers) the password entry window turns gray and stays like that until I close it manually.

Below the options window, the "ethm-1 monitoring" option is also enabled as a result of the combination, I also tried without it.

Disable ETHM monitoring - it is used only for monitoring to stations via LAN network. I hope you connected the RS ETHM to the RS of the motherboard with the PIN5-RJ wire (not the one from the programming cable). Finished downloading?

I'm replying to myself, because the problem partially resolved itself, thus moving on to the next stage.
The reason for the above-described inability to connect was probably not closing the DWNL-RS session. I am now connecting. And the "connecting" state is all I get. Now the connection attempt looks like this:

I am connecting to the server: 10.1.1.77:7090
    Connected
    ETHM-1 V1.07 module
    Receives data

And with this state the program hangs, the "TCP/IP connection" window remains with the "not responding" status, the only thing I can do is kill the entire program, to do this I also have to kill the process, because it does not respond to a simple click on the cross .
I suspect that the same problem prevents me from connecting with GuardX, only there I can close the window at least, not here. And I can connect via www without any problem, I remind you...

    [Update]

I'm replying to myself because I partially located the cause of the problem. From another computer, with the good old XP on board, I just couldn't connect (message "headquarters not ready"), but after turning off the windows firewall everything started working. At that point, on that computer, it was enough to add the DloadX application to the trusted list and add port 7090 to the exceptions list, and everything started to run wild.

Unfortunately, I still can't deal with the laptop I use every day, with Windows 7 on board and the system firewall intercepted by the corporate antivirus Symantec Endpoint Protection. And here it is for the devil, disabling this antivirus does nothing either...

@stan-mar - sorry, I just noticed that you wrote back in the meantime :) Yes, the reason was not disabled downloading, and now I'm struggling with a probably blocked port somewhere on my laptop...

Did you manage to solve this problem? I have the same but I'm afraid it's not a firewall issue but the new dload X. Everything was fine on the old one but unfortunately I can't find version
