    Hello.
I have a 1000l rainwater tank and its exit at the bottom for a garden hose connector.
I need a pump that I could connect to this outlet to pressurize and then connect a garden hose to it and water the flowers, wash the car, etc. I was looking and there are a lot of pumps to submerge, but it does not come into play because there is a small hole at the top and I will not put it in. It is best if the pump had a pressure switch, then it would automatically shut off the water, e.g. in the gun, it would stop working by itself, and when opened, it would pump again.
If anyone can advise something, I will be very grateful.
    Regards.

Attach the hydrophore or garden pump. You look for it, you will find it without any problem.
Assume what you need maximum pressure and what capacity at this pressure.
Watering flowers is one thing and another is car washing.

Well ... water the flowers and wash the car. The easiest and quickest way to attach a garden hose is to pressure washers, you can buy one for a mere zloty. Somehow you will wash the car, after removing the pressure lance you will also water the flowers, because they pour out like a hose then.
Another solution is a garden pump (see it under this slogan on a well-known sales portal :) i.e. a motor with a centrifugal pump, on a pump, or threads for screwing any hydraulic connectors into standard threads, or hose stubs, a switch, a cable, simply a ready-made product. Certainly, it will be better to water the flowers because such a pump has greater efficiency, unfortunately, it will not give such pressure as a car washer.
    Choose for yourself.

Style diaphragm pump VM60-3 IBO Dambat It should easily fit in the upper opening of the 1000L tank. It has several important advantages: it is cheap, generates a lot of pressure and is quite resistant to pollutants contained in rainwater. The disadvantages are low efficiency and the impossibility of continuous operation.

Matyj89, and what did you choose? Two years have passed so you surely have something and I am now looking for a pump for a similar tank to water my garden and house water. In general, I have already read a bit on the net in this topic, I also thought about the hydrophore before. My attention was caught by the Wilo MULTICARGO hydrophore, but I must admit that the pumps are my Achilles heel, so if someone else suggests something, I will also have a look at it

Well, now I have unearthed the thread, because I'm in the same situation. What did you choose in the end?

I had the same problem (2000L rainwater tank), at the beginning I bought a "Russian" diaphragm pump, but it was humming mercilessly, and I did not want to put it on the bottom of the tank, because after a few weeks the plastic would surely wipe out and a hole would appear.
Ultimately, I bought a Multi TP 800 submersible (there is also a Multi TP 1000 with a higher lift level).

I have a few questions for this pump that you bought Multi TP 800.
Do you have it submerged in the tank all the time?
Can it be started regardless of the position of the float?

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around finding a suitable non-submersible water pump with a pressure switch for a 1000L rainwater tank. Users suggest various options, including hydrophore pumps and diaphragm pumps. A diaphragm pump, specifically the VM60-3 IBO Dambat, is recommended for its affordability and pressure generation, though it has low efficiency and cannot operate continuously. Another user mentions the Wilo MULTICARGO hydrophore as a potential choice. The Multi TP 800 submersible pump is also discussed, with concerns about its noise and durability when submerged. Overall, the conversation highlights the need for a pump that can efficiently pressurize water for garden and car washing applications.
