The Tchibo Cafissimo coffee machine does not work.
The coffee machine had not been used before and had been stored in a box for a year.

    Symptoms:
All buttons and the "water tank empty" indicator are flashing. The pump starts, but the machine does not draw water. When the pump turns itself off, the buttons remain lit.

Check the sensor of the correctly closed drawer with the capsule, it is a little pin that should be pushed in after closing the correctly inserted drawer with the capsule. I had a problem because the drawer broke around the circumference and did not press the sensor properly. Tchibo gives lifelong warranty for this part, which I took advantage of.

Unfortunately, that's not it, it didn't bring any results.

Help me, the black part where you put the capsules fell apart, but I managed to put it back together - unfortunately, wrongly. Now I can't take it apart to change it. Can I buy this part somewhere? Or if I make a complaint - how much will replacement/repair cost?

The capsule container has a LIFETIME warranty. Call the service line and order a new one. Apparently yours had a defect and fell apart during normal use.

My coffee machine also stood unused for a long time. When you try to make coffee, all the water goes into the overflow and onto the drip tray instead of through the nozzle. I disassembled the coffee machine, checked the patency of the hoses and they seemed to be OK. In older threads I found advice to clean the nozzle directly next to the capsule with a wire, but it didn't help. I will only add that when I use the knob to froth milk, the water pouring into the tray is hot. While disassembling, I was interested in one thing, the tee coming out of the heater (in red in the photo). Shouldn't it have a valve in it that should first direct the water upwards and not all to the side and into the drainer?

    Hi

I have the same thing as zupens007.
I did the same thing with unblocking the upper nozzle as the guy above - to no avail.
I descaled the coffee machine twice.
Sometimes the water still flows enough to make coffee, but not always.
At the end of brewing, you can hear a characteristic clicking sound visible on the water that has poured into the tray.

I am asking wise heads for advice, or a colleague above me if he has solved the problem.

I took care of my coffee machine. In my case, water was pouring into the overflow instead of into the brewer, and this was because the tee with the valve was faulty. I took everything apart, then put it back together and everything works. When cleaning the nozzle, you need to push the thin wire really deep. It helped me. And the descaling process ends normally, because in my case the nozzle was clogged and it could not be completed and the machine signaled an error.

I disassembled the coffee machine and unfolded the rubber hoses. I cleaned them and the black tee as much as I could, some coffee coating settled inside. Then I used a wire of about 15 cm to connect the upper nozzle from the side where the capsules are inserted. I didn't see anything on the wire. So far, no improvement.
@zupens007, did you disassemble the white tee you marked in the photo and the hoses it connects?

I disassembled this tee, there is a safety valve in it - a spring with a piece of plastic. When the pressure increases, e.g. because the nozzle is clogged, the valve opens and all the water goes into the tray next to the drainer. If you want to take it apart, make sure the coffee machine is cold, because I got a little burnt from the steam.

I also took out this valve with a spring and cleaned it the first time. Now what is happening is that the water stops flowing through the capsule and no longer flows into the tray, but flows out from the capsule feeder around. As if the pressure in the capsule was high, but the water could not escape. Tomorrow it goes to the trash.

What are you giving up so quickly? Put it aside. Are your capsules fresh? Try to pull the metal lever securing the capsule firmly, maybe the spike does not penetrate the protective foil.

    Hello
Maybe there will be someone on the forum who will be able to help me.
I have a Tchibo classic coffee machine, but the older model. After turning on the coffee machine, all the lights are on as standard and there is nothing strange about it except for the fact that the water light is flashing red (there is water in the tank, the capsule container is correctly inserted).
There is also no chance of descaling, because according to the instructions, after pressing the on/on and steam switches at the same time, the coffee lights should light up from left to right, while the brewed coffee and crema lights blink at the same time and turn off after 10 minutes.
What is the reason for this?

Either a float in the tank or a sensor under the housing.

Do I have to disassemble the coffee machine to reach the float and the sensor?

The float is in the tank, the sensor is inside the coffee machine.
The float should rise in the water and there is a magnet inside, and the sensor under the casing of the coffee machine responds to it.
Find a magnet at home and place it on the back wall of the coffee machine at the height of the float - this way you can check whether the sensor is working if it shows that there is water.

Is the float a part that is visible or built in somewhere?
If it's a loose floating part, I don't have anything like that in the tank.
Can you explain where this sensor is located and what it looks like?

I am providing a link to the model I have, maybe it will be easier to select.
I already know that the float is ok. I checked it with a magnet and the light doesn't respond, so it's the sensor. How can this be fixed?

If the sensor does not respond to the magnet, it is probably damaged. This part cannot be repaired, only replaced.

To be sure of the fault, I suggest permanently short-circuiting its wires. - then he must show that there is water.
If it shows, you can easily replace the sensor.

So that we understand each other well. The sensor shows the water level correctly. When there is no water, the on/off and water lights are on.
When you turn on the coffee machine and the water tank is full, the water light also flashes, but you can still brew coffee. The coffee machine does not respond to the command to descale it.

After a long time, I took out the coffee machine and the situation is the same as described by @zupens007. It takes in water, there is pressure, but the water does not come out through the nozzle and returns to the tray. I did everything that is described in the topic. The coffee machine was used very little and then stored away for a long time.
I disassembled the entire coffee machine, cleaned it, descaled everything possible, still the same. The nozzle is clear.
I was curious about one thing when disassembling it. Should these two channels be unobstructed next to the safety valve (?)? The one marked in green is clear, the red one is not. It should be? I'm running out of ideas what could be wrong.
Interior of a coffee machine with highlighted elements: a safety valve with two channels, a space for a spring, and water pipes.

By the way. There are three springs in the coffee machine, one at the frother, the other at the tee (blue) and the third one? After dismantling, I had one left, the widest one, ~ 2 cm long, and I don't know where it came from.

I found a place for the spring, but after cleaning the coffee machine still returns water downwards into the tray. I wonder why it gives warm water to the frother and not to the capsule? Cold water leaks into the tray.

Can anyone help with the order in which the springs should be assembled in the frother valve? I dismantled the coffee machine because the water was not flowing upwards but into the drainer, and when I disassembled the side of the frother knob, it fell apart and two springs fell out, a larger one, a smaller one, and a small nozzle. After assembling in the following order - the large valve is placed on the tube, a small spring and nozzle are inserted inside (with the thin side facing inwards) and then a larger spring and a knob with a housing. After assembly, water flows from both the head and the frother (as if it did not respond to the knob). Someone help?

I have a Tchibo Cafessimo Compact, today I had a problem after making coffee.
The red LED started blinking. The water has been checked, the used capsule bin is empty, but I can't lift the handle. An attempt to get inside the coffee machine turned out to be just a matter of getting to the cables.
I don't know what happened because pressing the coffee buttons turned out to be ineffective.
The coffee machine is not mine, it is only part of the equipment of the apartment I rent. I don't know what to do, because if the owner finds out, I'll probably have to pay for the entire coffee machine.

I bought a Cafissimo latte machine, it doesn't pierce the bottom of the capsule, it just slightly dents it. The top is ok, there is a hole. He has trouble pumping water through the capsule.
Is there any way to do this?

I have a similar problem with the Tchibo coffee machine - it does not detect the water container. The magnet in the container rises freely, and when you apply the magnet to the housing, the sensor responds correctly.
    What could be wrong?

I had this with the Cafissimo Mini coffee machine. After opening it, it turned out that the sensor (reed switch) was poorly attached to the holder and had moved away from the rear casing - it should be "butt-together". Otherwise, the distance is too large and the reed switch does not "catch" the magnet in the tank.

My coffee machine reacted badly to non-original capsules, as if there was too much resistance and most of the water went into the tray. It helped a bit to wait after the first turn on and turn it on again, e.g. after 5 minutes. Now, unfortunately, mine does not turn on at all, on the PCB you can see the L2 choke casing lifted up, the fuse is intact, the capacitors are not bulged, but you will still have to desolder them and check them.

Topic summary

The Tchibo Cafissimo coffee machine is experiencing issues where all buttons and the "water tank empty" indicator are flashing, and the pump operates without drawing water. Users suggest checking the capsule drawer sensor, which may not be properly engaged, and the lifetime warranty on the capsule container can be utilized for replacements. Other users report similar problems, including water flowing into the overflow tray instead of through the nozzle, often due to clogged nozzles or faulty valves. Cleaning the internal components, including hoses and valves, is recommended. Some users have also encountered issues with the water level sensor and float, indicating potential faults that may require replacement. Overall, disassembly and thorough cleaning of the machine's internal parts are common troubleshooting steps.
