The coffee machine cleaning light came on. I cleaned it probably 10 times and unfortunately it didn't help, the light stays on, although you can make coffee normally. I suspect that some sensor is stuck. Unfortunately, the manual doesn't say anything about it. All in all, the coffee machine is "old" (it was a bonus for the Bosch washing machine). Please help, the service center doesn't smile at me because they will probably charge you half a new one.

Watch the guy dismantle the coffee machine.
Maybe the flow meter is stuck. Take it apart with just a few screws.

Unfortunately, I cannot close the topic. I watched on YouTube as a guy dismantled this express, but that's all I saw and understood.
There is no information about the reasons for the "cleaning" light of the coffee machine. There are two possibilities, either the electronics or one of the sensors has failed.

The flow meter is just a sensor and it may be damaged

I took the express apart and also looked at the flow meter you mentioned. So logically, if it was damaged (propeller with magnet and detector), it would not measure the correct amount of water to be supplied. However, the error probably lies in the (two) temperature sensors on the heater, which measure the water inlet and outlet and determine the degree of scaling of the heater based on the increase in the temperature difference. The second possibility, which is more likely, is that the electronics have failed. I cleaned Express probably 10 times and it didn't help. For now, I'm making coffee with the light on. Thank you very much for your suggestions. Regards

I have the same problem, I thought I needed to replace the scale in the water, but I don't know if it's possible. Cleaning didn't help either.

Nothing is happening so far. The light is still on and I will continue to check the coffee. As a preventive measure, I will clean it (descaling) once a quarter and I don’t worry about it anymore. A new espresso doesn’t cost a fortune and it’s not worth the hassle. Regards

    Hi!
Thanks to this: https://www.instrukcjaobslugipdf.pl/bosch/tassimo-vivy-tas1252/instrukcja?p=10 manual, pages 10-11, I managed to descale the coffee maker. Please note that you need to pour the appropriate amount of water into the tank and throw the descaling capsule into the water. Then you need to insert the yellow capsule for cleaning the coffee machine (the one hidden near the water tank) and start cleaning by holding the drink preparation start button for 5 seconds (and not a short click as for single cleaning), the machine will work for a longer time (about 30 minutes) and will use up all the water (about 0.5L), so you need to put a larger vessel. Finally, you need to (according to the instructions) perform normal cleaning (the same capsule) 3 times to clean the water system from the descaling agent.

    Regards,

Topic summary

The Bosch Tassimo CTPM02 coffee machine's cleaning indicator light remains illuminated despite multiple cleaning attempts. Users suspect a malfunctioning sensor or electronics failure. Suggestions include checking the flow meter, which may be stuck or damaged, and examining temperature sensors that monitor water inlet and outlet. One user successfully descaled the machine by following specific instructions involving a descaling capsule and a cleaning capsule, emphasizing the need for proper water levels and vessel size during the process. Others have opted to continue using the machine with the light on, performing regular descaling as a preventive measure.
