    Hello
3 months ago I bought a Nissan Synny. when I bought it there was sludge in the radiator. The previous owner said that he had replaced the gasket and the Head splattered, I thought it was residue from the fluid mixed with oil. Actually it was fine for 3 months
Now I have a strange symptom, after opening the radiator cap a lot of pressure blows out the fluid. Is this typical for the gasket? Has it died again?

Do as follows: start the car and let it run for a while, then unscrew the plug on the radiator and preferably on the balancing tank and give gas.If you can see the effect of bubbling or blowing up of the fluid, it's definitely the gasket. You can also check the oil.If you can see "two states" on the dipstick, i.e. water and oil, it also points to the gasket.Maybe he replaced it with a counterfeit and that's why such an effect.Or the head could be poorly tightened.Either way, check what I've written and if it's like that, unfortunately the gasket replacement awaits you.Greetings!

That is exactly the problem that in the reservoir does not even vibrate. And in the radiator it blows up. I thought that maybe the system is aerated but it will probably be the gasket
    Thanks for the advice
Today I will test on open radiator cap

PS. What are the effects of an overheated engine?
will it take oil, run louder? Smoke blue?

In the combustion chamber there is a gauge pressure of about 1.2 MPa and the cooling system operates at 0.12 MPa , if there is damage to the gasket as a rule ruptures some component , what you described indicates a lack of circulation between the system and the expansion tank that is something unobstructed .And write what kind of engine it is.

This is a typical symptom of a head gasket, probably something was done cheaply. I don't want to worry you, but it could be not only the gasket (crack in the head or on the cylinder sleeve) but this is unlikely to happen in Japanese. He probably gave a gasket from Japan Cars for 30 zlotys andu such an effect

This may also be a symptom of a faulty pressure valve in the cap, if the pressure in the radiator exceeds the critical value, the excess fluid is drained into the expansion tank. The outflow of fluid when the engine is hot is normal, the cooling system is pressurized, worse if after opening the cap nothing happens - then the system is leaking. If the gasket is faulty, or the head is cracked - then when you turn off the engine, the fluid should expand just through the leaking gasket or damaged head. For starters, maybe replace the radiator cap - it will be cheaper.

But the matter has already solved. It turned out that there was a slight leak with a gasket on the water pump. The system was probably aerated and created a vacuum. I bought a gasket with the pump, replaced it and there is peace and quiet from the cork and quiet in the car is also nice :-)
I only worry that a few times the temperature jumped into the red field and I could overheat it a little. And flip flops don't seem to like that

Thank you all for the birth
I wish you trouble-free 4 wheels, rubber trees and better roads

I have a similar problem.I pour liquid into the tank and after a few kilometers it escapes and shows me the check engine temperature light that it is too high.Could it be the head gasket?
    I have 1.8 V8 + LPG

    Added after 10 [minutes]:

and one more thing.I am peeing a lot from the exhaust.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Nissan Sunny experiencing symptoms indicative of a potential head gasket failure. The user reports excessive pressure release when opening the radiator cap, which raises concerns about the integrity of the head gasket. Responses suggest various diagnostic steps, including checking for bubbling in the radiator, inspecting the oil for contamination, and considering the possibility of a faulty pressure valve in the radiator cap. Ultimately, the user discovers a minor leak in the water pump gasket, which was causing the issues, and resolves the problem by replacing the gasket. Concerns about engine overheating due to previous temperature spikes are also mentioned.
