I have a problem with the Wiśniowski garage door. Optima drive, eL16q controller. The gate opens without any problems. When you try to close it, it tries to keep opening. When only partially removed manually, the closing mechanism is activated correctly and works automatically. I checked the limit switches and replaced them, but it still doesn`t close from the maximum open position.
    Please help

Check the mechanical side of the problem carefully - I had a case where the bent spring pressing the limit switch jumped over the bumper, the limit switch opened and the gate continued to open.

If you have a machine with a control panel "on the wall", replace the spiral cable in the rail. The most common cause of failure.
If you have a control panel in the head, see what Kotbury wrote.

I don`t know if I`m thinking correctly, but I can rule out a bent spring, as the limit switch turns off the gate. Additionally, if the gate exceeds a certain opening level (approx. 3/4 opening), even if I turn the gate off with the remote control, the next time I press it, it does not close but continues to open. The situation is different if I open it, e.g. halfway and stop it with the remote control, then the next time I press it, the gate closes as it should.
    Thanks for your suggestions

As I wrote, check the spiral cable.

I have a spiral cable in the bus, I understand that by checking you mean replacing it.
    Thank you

Buddy, I`m 99% certain that you have a broken wire in the spiral cable. As far as I know, you can swap two wires together at the engine if you don`t have a photo cell and everything will continue.

Dismantle it and, by bending it in all directions, check whether it is clear. It is usually broken at the anchor points, i.e. at the beginning and end.
You can dismantle it and pull the individual wires until one of them comes out of the insulation.
I leave the method of checking to you. Any method is good.
By the way, the thick wires come from the engine and the thinner ones come from the limit switches.

Hello everyone. I will be happy to join the topic because I have exactly the same drive and the same problem as my friend Hinos. My guess is also the spiral cable, but I haven`t examined it myself yet. So I`m waiting for my friend Hinos`s test.

Dexter, what are you waiting for?
Dismantle the spiral cable and get to work. If it is damaged near the end, I have often managed to shorten it a bit and continue using it. New is not cheap :)

I confirm that the cable is damaged. The gate works.

My problem was also solved - damaged spiral cable. After disassembly from the gate, with the cable laid loosely, all cable cores worked, while the white wire was damaged when stretched. By stretching individual sections, I was able to diagnose damage up to several centimeters. This operation with a loose cable and the pause when stretching explains why the gate did not respond to the remote control after opening.
Now everything is OK. Thank you, Glecki
