Does anyone know how to connect the ASG 2000-121 e1021706 relay (controller), another name ASTM 12, to the Westfalia detachable hook?
I have the wires connected as in the diagram, but when I connect the trailer and turn on the right turn signal, it flashes quickly.

Where did you get this diagram from? I am also looking for one, but for No. e1 021 777 12V, also ASTM12.

I found it on the net. I have wires of such colors in the plug, but I don't know which one goes to what.

Well, I have a similar problem, because I bought a hook from an Englishman with a beam. The hook is fine of course, but something is wrong with this bundle:

I have such a problem with the Wesfalia Hook bundle. I bought a Wesfalia hook fixed with 2 screws + an original Wesfalia harness with the ASTM12 506 005 module.
This beam comes from an Englishman's Passat b5.
I am unable to read the bundle number because it is completely destroyed. The number of my hook with which this bundle was: 321 632. Date: 14/01/05
bar number: *312632600001* The problem is that when I connected a functional trailer to the socket, the left rear lamp turned off, and there was still no lighting of the trailer. There are also no turn signals. Nothing was redone. My car is a Passat B5 FL Kombi from 2001. It would be best if I sent you a photo by e-mail, so you could see what it looks like. I do not know why the original harness connected to the cube ori does not work. Please help.

This is what a guest from Wesfali technical service wrote to me: I already found out where the problem lies - in the module, because I have 021 and I should have 031.
Does anyone have a connection diagram for this module No. 031 for the EU market?

    Welcome back,

We do not provide module schematics. The bundle of wires entering the module is always terminated with a ready-made plug, which should not be "corrected".

In addition, I noticed that the module itself from the photos sent by you differs from the one included in the set for the Polish market - it is a different version (021777/031777).
    Sincerely/With kind regards/Mit freundlichen Grüßen

My blinking turn signals are a bad connection. I also had a bit of a mess in the other wires, but I disconnected the ends from the lamp plugs and connected them as the lights come out of the trailer socket.

Are you 100% sure the module is working? The second issue, from what I remember, is that the English have a different connection and different cable arrangements than the EU. Personally, I would never choose a used one, because it is not known where it came from, whether it is functional despite the appearance, etc. However, it is different with hooks, the originals have at least a guarantee, service assistance, etc.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the connection of the Westfalia ASTM 12 towbar module (ASG 2000-121 e1) to a Passat B5 vehicle. Users report issues with wiring and functionality, particularly with rapid flashing of turn signals when a trailer is connected. One user mentions difficulties identifying wire connections due to a damaged harness, while another indicates that the module may differ from the required specifications for the EU market. Suggestions include checking the module's functionality and ensuring correct wiring according to the specific vehicle's requirements. The importance of using original components and the potential differences in wiring between UK and EU models are also highlighted.
