    Dear forum members.
Due to the fact that in my Polonez the battery fell, or actually boiled it off a burned voltage regulator, I need to buy a new battery. Until now, I have used centers plus 62 Ah, but the quality of this brand has probably decreased, because in the last 6 years I have replaced every battery immediately after the end of the warranty, i.e. after 2 years it was unusable.

I read that the battery should be selected in terms of alternator and starting current. In my polonaise, there is a 55 A alternator. The plus ones were more powerful 70 A alternators and there were 62 Ah batteries there at the factory. However, I had to recharge my batteries to full capacity every month.

I'm thinking of buying a battery:
    - BOSCH S4 60 Ah 540 A
    - BOSCH S5 63 Ah 610 A
    - Exide 55 Ah 460 A EC551 (also like centers) my number two on the list
    - Exide 62 Ah 540 A EB621 (also like centers)
    - ZAP Silver 555 26 55 Ah 460 A and I am most inclined to do so.

Best regards and thank you for the answers.

You have a problem with charging or something consumes too much electricity.

Normally you give something above 60Ah and you have peace of mind for years as long as normal landing.

And by the way check the charging with the lights on if it is over 14.2V.

According to the Jenox catalog, R056623ZN - 56 Ah, 560 A. comes out. Affordable. There is nothing to push into such a car for such a car, the more that it is not particularly durable.

If you plan to use it for a long time, buy S5. If you don't foretell its future, buy the cheapest one.

The topic can be considered resolved. I found in the literature the values that the battery should have for individual engine versions:
    - Polonez 1.4 Rover, 1.5 and 1.6 carburetor (1978 - 1994): 45 Ah,
    - Polonez 1.5 and 1.6 Abimeks injection (1992 - 1997): 55 Ah or 60 Ah,
    - Polonez 1.6 injection Bosh and Delphi (1997 - 2002): 62 Ah,
    - Polonez 1.9 Citroen Diesel (1991-2002): minimum 60Ah, the manufacturer recommends installing larger ones.

I bought a Kozak battery, 60 Ah L +. After familiarizing myself with the offer and opinions on various brands, I decided that it is not worth paying extra for the brand.

    Greetings.
