Has any of your colleagues come across a newer, "better", or alternative firmware for Neo Coolcam NIP-02 and NIP-06 cameras?

    Device Firmware Version 81.2.0.157
Device Embedded Web UI Version 19.2.1.2.24

The Chinese sent me a new bin for FW and as above, while the Web UI 2.40 tip is supposedly uploaded via IE, but after reboot it returned to the same as above.

What do you mean when you write that the Chinese sent you? Do you see a message on the device about the possibility of updating or did you ask and send it by e-mail?

They sent an e-mail, it's terribly difficult to get along with them, they write back to what they want, etc. So you will avoid upsetting your nerves. Grab the attachments (Web UI itself does not check if there is a new version, on their website there is no FW for this webcam or it was not there at all ...?)

Both attachments definitely match the NIP-02 OAO (without recording to SD).

81.* is the firmware (and it works) and 19.* is the WEB UI that doesn't load for me ;-)

Soft on Android lags, it connects to some Chinese VPN in the cloud, not very safe for me. And it lags... and I have my VPN. Only the mobile app does not allow you to enter the IP of the device :-( Anyone know the patent for this? Any other soft can handle andek and accept IP?

    ---------

    Is that a foscam clone?

    http://foscam.us/forum/download/file.php?id=1252

See that some PDF SDK URLs work, some don't :-) Apparently some soft from Foscam will come in but I'm afraid to flash ... the one from coolcam is so-so, a bit poor WEB GUI but it does the trick :-) You can write your own if most of the SDK works.

    ---------

The Android patent is tinyCam Monitor from google store. Disadvantage - set to coolcam, it does not transmit sound correctly, motion detection cannot be turned on remotely, etc.[/b]

Everything is very well described in Foscam, and Neo lies and squeaks ... Nothing but get to work and create your own software :P I've seen some combinations on http://www.openipcam.com but I'm also a bit afraid to flash something undedicated.
Unfortunately, my attempt to update via the browser failed on NIP-02. The camera got up with the same firmware: Device Firmware Version 0.41.2.47

I've never had it so low! Are you sure CoolCam NIP 02 and OAO postscript?

I definitely have Neo CoolCam NIP-02, I don't know if OAO or OAM. I don't physically have it with me right now.
The current firmware on the Device Status page is:
    Device Firmware Version 0.41.2.47
Device Embedded Web UI Version 2.2.10.12

    on the other one:
    Device Firmware Version 0.41.2.47
Device Embedded Web UI Version 1.2.10.12

    while on two NIP-06:
    Device Firmware Version 0.41.2.47
Device Embedded Web UI Version 4.6.13.10

    edit:
visually, Web UI 1.2.10.12@NIP-02 is no different from Web UI 4.6.13.10@NIP-06 :D

Rather, you have a different "submodel", records on SD? I gave 120 zlotys for this camera and I will also take FW for it, so it comes out to 100 zlotys. You can survive :-)

Hello colleagues. Allow me to hijack the thread. Have any of you tried to upload a bin from Foscam?

I don't but I already have a second camera from this company. The first one stopped booting by itself after some time (you disconnected the power 20 times and it surprised once or twice).
The second one (the newer model with HD) currently resets itself from time to time, the image is broken when motion is detected (supposedly HD but uploads to ftp VGA with MEGA, MEGA compression - only artifacts when connected via IE the picture is great). Motion detection gives a lot of falsehoods with minimal sensitivity.

The Chinese will send FW after the request (on the website they don't officially give anything) but it sucks anyway.

Hello, I uploaded the original soft Foscam and the webcam works without a problem. The menu in Polish, the soft in my opinion supports the webcam a little better, the image is clearer and not as dark as on the Chinese soft.

Okay but which one exactly?? I've tried several times and none of foscam comes in.
For me, it looks like that when uploading the firmware, the camera shows in the info that it is ok but the web ui is not. Now I don't know what's wrong???
Maybe you have a proven set (fw and webui) because I'm doing something wrong. I will add that the one in the attachment is ok but only fw without web. Or maybe there is some procedure and dedicated software for uploading??? I've been messing around with it for a while but apparently I'm doing something wrong!!! I'll be grateful for any help

Personally, I downloaded the soft from the Foscam website, then I fired the camera on the Chinese software (entering the IP address of the camera) by clicking the firmware update option. You indicate the file(s) because there are two and the camera updates without any problem. I uploaded the soft from Foscam fi8918w to mine and it works. I have a problem with how to watch it remotely, but that's another issue.

zielinskimilosz thanks for the information but:
I've done it before and unfortunately, but after uploading Foscam's FW and WEBUI, the webcam wakes up with the old software I:........... still the same, i.e. the green LED lights up visually and is lit continuously, Seeking Updated or Alternative Firmware for Neo Coolcam NIP-02 & NIP-06 Cameras after entering the IP of the camera, a login window will pop up. After logging in, it crashes that the page cannot be displayed, but after pasting 192.168.1.249/videosteram.cgi, there is a live view in the upper left corner (unfortunately, I do not have a screen) and there the motherboard looks Seeking Updated or Alternative Firmware for Neo Coolcam NIP-02 & NIP-06 Cameras I looked it over carefully and there is nowhere (as in Foscam's) connectors or TX RX markings for connecting the Uart. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

    Hello,
does anyone have the soft for NIP-02 but the version with SD recording and rotation control?

Unfortunately, after the failed update, I do not have the function of trading it from the browser and sometimes some strange circuses happen ... and getting along with the Chinese about the software is a real challenge

My problem with this camera is that I can't upload any other software to it.
every time it resets, it wakes up with the original old firmware
    Firmware version 0.37.2.47
    Web server version 0.2.9.12
and I don't know what's going on - is there any patent to upload the software?

The camera also works on WiFi but only within a range of up to 5m from the router.
In another room where, for example, a laptop or phone indicates full coverage ... the camera no longer wants to connect, although the router sees it and gives it an IP.
Everything is OK with the cable - but ... I will not run the cable through the whole house when the camera has WiFi options

Also let me know how to watch the image in the cloud - topipcam.org is not working? I want to enter some password and login there, but I am not able to find out where to read the password.
    Any suggestions? help?

I found the firmware for the NIP-20 OZX camera. Everything works. Colors are OK, moving the image works. I don't know about stability, but it hasn't crashed for me yet.

Dude @tomiilgs, it will work for you 99%.

    I have:
    NIP-02 OAM
    Device Firmware Version 81.2.0.154
Device Embedded Web UI Version 19.2.1.2.24

    NIP-02 OAO
    Device Firmware Version 81.2.0.157

I wrote to the Chinese requesting a new firmware, they sent it:

    ps. I haven't tested yet
ps2. both cameras managed to flash, but only the firmware system. Web UI, I click upgrade - it restarts but no changes in the software.

    Hello
Colleagues, I have an old Coolcam camera, I don't know how to identify it, the firmware is very old, I have never done anything, now it has been connected to the recorder but unfortunately it is not visible, can you help me identify what it is exactly and if there is a newer firmware to be uploaded maybe after the change for the registrar to see.

It doesn't seem to be plug & play. Often recorder manufacturers make them compatible with their products. Usually these "better" NVRs have the option of connecting cameras via RTSP, not to mention jpg. From what I can tell, Neo Coolcam only has JPG, so it's pretty much impossible.

Well, it remains to buy another one, at least the same as the others that are connected and working. I would like to add that it is not connected directly to the recorder, only through swich. And by the way, the new firmware would be useful anyway, so if someone had it, I would be willing.
