    Hello,
I have a question about the Adblue system in a 2012 Seat Alhambra 2.0 tdi cffb car.
After refilling the fluid , the system does not see this fact. Displays meadblue light and distance to go which is decreasing .
What is the procedure after topping up the liquid? You have to wait with the ignition on or should immediately be detected full tank of liquid?

In Vcds I made in adaptations : "Resetting of SCR tank level detection"
because it seems to me that this function is responsible for the reset? but it does not help.

Was there an error from the NOX sensor in the engine controller

Yes there was a NOX error, the car could not be started, errors cleared do not return. The car starts , drives. In adaptations I also selected learned Nox sensor. . did not help

To do a flash of the engine controller, it should extinguish the light , if not you need to do an adaptive driving. To replace also the NOX sensor because the fault will return and will light the check engine light.
What controller number and software version ?

You can see that the flash is done.Sensor to be replaced. In VAS special procedure to disable the adblue message, time consuming but doable.Adblue is best to add to full, or min. 10 l.As for the problem in firing it is egr that is the cause.

Adblue was added to full , stood for several minutes on the ignition on and nothing :) If it passes the mileage limit the car will not start or what happens? And this egr is a replacement for a new one or a cleaning which I don't believe myself :) ???The car has such low mileage and here such surprises.

I had a car where the mileage limit passed and it fired up.I wrote that it does not fire up because of the egr because there was an error, maybe the car was standing and failed.I had a case that it died and did not fire up - it turned out that it hung up in the open position. It is very easy to check in these engines - plug the wire at the head.As for the procedure for these errors from the NOx sensor is service information in VW/SEAT, as for the egr too.

With EGR in this car for several months was able to light up check and go out. And the NOx errors are only now popping up. This hint from your side Jack about replacing the sensor is I understand from the service information? I'm asking because the controller does not generate any errors and the adblue light did not go off after adding it, hence my post on the forum, and with the adblue system and in fact its failure I have to deal with for the first time.

Yes my hint based on service inf. , the fault from the sensor will probably return (I know it is not cheap) but without replacement the procedure is unlikely to pass.

I'll bump up the topic if you don't mind.
Is adding a few liters of adBlue before the light forcing the addition and playing around with the resetting correct ?
Purely theoretical I wonder if keeping the fluid level above the signaled level is a way to avoid the above complications.

    Procedure after adding Adblue ?

as it lit up for me after about 200 lit up check engine, then I added 2 or 3 l (expensive at stations abroad) , after about 50 km adblue went off, unfortunately check engine did not, it's nox and I do not know if it was related, the light I erased and now I have again after about 400 km, something I feel that I am waiting for a replacement nox.

    Hello
    Here's the problem:
Error on nox2 but on nox1 emission value 0 ppm, I can't find the exhaust gas temp. sensor 2, is it together with Nox1?
Errors on the engine cleared, but the adble light continues to light up and count km.

Reset in the board. Reset in the engine, sometimes firing and driving in different conditions for up to 30 min.

    Hello

you will not reset it, you must eliminate the cause,
and the cause is most likely the Nox probe.

replace the probe and drive evenly then it will go out.

    The eternal problem with SCR.

Drop the clamps, then reset in the dashboard, in the engine and test drive.
Drive rather hard, and if necessary, burn it out.

Dude - please info , where should I look for a reset in the dashboard?

In the engine I reset and the error is not there - the message on the dashboard is still there.

vw t6 has an option in which you enter in the engine odis.
then right button and at the bottom you have scr options.
then option number 6 probably " delete the error on the dashboard"

    and done.

I mean that many times this is not enough. And you need to play longer pie......

    Hello

you do not need to delete anything as it does not disappear by itself it means that something is wrong.
generally as you pour it turn the key and wait until you start the engine, and that's all, the message should disappear

    Greetings.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues with the Adblue system in a 2012 Seat Alhambra 2.0 TDI CFFB after refilling the Adblue fluid. Users report that the Adblue warning light remains illuminated and the distance to empty continues to decrease despite adding fluid. Various troubleshooting steps are suggested, including resetting the SCR tank level detection using VCDS, checking for NOx sensor errors, and performing a flash of the engine controller. It is noted that replacing the NOx sensor may be necessary if errors persist. Users also discuss the importance of ensuring the Adblue tank is filled adequately and the potential need for EGR valve inspection or replacement. The conversation highlights the complexity of the Adblue system and the necessity of addressing underlying faults to extinguish warning lights.
