Connecting Legrand Differential: Correct Installation, Phase Conductors & Importance
Is the connection of the differential in the photo correct?
Should the phase conductors be on the right or left side ??
    Does it matter ???

that's for sure, but I would like to know them too, so please answer the question.
because I found various connection diagrams on the net.

There is also a diagram on the camera. Can't you see him?

    What does the producer say?

    Legrand.
I can see the schematic and that's why it seems to be a good connection.
    I'm right???
Today I found a photo of the differential connected differently on the net, so I am asking how is it correct ??

hmmm, the connection in the drawing is wrong ???

In the case of a 1-phase differential, it does not matter where you connect L and N, because in both cases the differential mechanism will work (it works on the principle of the difference of currents in the circuit, not voltage potentials). In 3-phase differentials we have 3 differential modules with a common N terminal, so there is required the designation of the N terminal.

According to art, L on the left, N on the right.
Access on terminals with a fixed element (terminals 1-L, 3-N), output on terminals with an element (2-L, 4-N).

And if I want to use a connecting comb for "es", I have to figure it out.
Isn't it better to make your job easier?

As for mycelium, that is, rails, I used it. It is enough to cut out one of the teeth and the differential will be connected according to the art.
So L on the left and N on the right.

There is no "art". There are manufacturer's recommendations, which means (or does not mean) the clamp for connecting the N conductor, so please do not create abstract "art", because one person is already deceiving you, my friend tomix you introduced.

    This is no art.

Well, maybe not the art, but everywhere I put the phase wire on the left.
From what my colleague writes, the difference in the picture is correct, right?
In a single-phase connection, a differential that has no marking for N connection does not matter from which we connect the phase and which N. I understand well ???

If you have any doubts, it is enough to call the manufacturer or sales representative and that's it.

Buddy, in your drawing, you have marked the phase wire and N, but you have not given where the power is plugged in and where the drains are.

If so, I connect the RCD, will it be okay?

On the website and in the technical specification, I also did not find where N is to be connected and where the phase.
Therefore, I am asking you for advice.
I understand that in this case the side on which the N wire is installed is indifferent?
Top supply according to the current flow diagram which is on the differential.
Why do you think it should be alternating as described in the picture?

I did not write that it should be alternating, but I asked if it would be good if I connect it in this way, because it did not follow from your drawing.

I asked this question so that you would learn something, not because someone said so.

Gentlemen, no one has asked the question yet:
What is the network layout you want to connect this camera to on the circuit?
What protection is against and what is behind this RCD.

How did you measure your PE? Did you even measure? There is PE at all?

    Are you sure ?
In my opinion what you write is not true. In RDC 3f, the N line is only marked because it is the first to be connected and the last to disconnect ;)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the correct installation of a Legrand differential circuit breaker, specifically addressing the placement of phase (L) and neutral (N) conductors. Users express concerns about varying connection diagrams found online and seek clarification on whether the phase conductors should be connected on the left or right side. It is noted that for single-phase differentials, the connection of L and N does not significantly impact functionality, as the differential operates based on current differences rather than voltage potentials. However, for three-phase differentials, proper designation of the N terminal is crucial. The conversation emphasizes the importance of adhering to manufacturer recommendations and suggests consulting technical specifications or the manufacturer for definitive guidance.
