RGB tape, driver problem, mixed colors on the remote control.

Hello, I have been struggling with LED lighting in my room for several days. I have already replaced the controller once, because after turning off the LED strip (on the ceiling) was green and mixed colors altogether. After the exchange, everything was fine for 2 weeks.

Today I bought 1 m of tape + power supply and controller for the same room in a different place. I plugged it in, everything works as it should. But the previous longer strip on the ceiling started to malfunction, i.e. after selecting the red color on the remote control, it lights up blue, after turning on the blue color, the green LEDs turn on, and after turning on the green color, the red LEDs. You just "mixed up" the order on the remote control. Since it worked well before, RGB colors with the driver are surely well connected.

What is going on? Will I have to replace the driver again? I'm fed up with them.

    Please help. Regards !

You have mixed connections in one of the drivers. Press red on the remote control and look for where red is on the tape. Later the same green and blue. It often happens that the colors in the plugs are mixed up :)

But everything was fine just a few days ago so I don't understand why it happened like that ..

Well, today you bought a new driver and probably the old tape has changed pins from the colors.
Match the colors of the tapes to one driver, and it must work equally on both. Unless you have any short circuits on the tape connections.

The tape on the ceiling has its own driver and its power supply, and the tape on the shelf has its own driver and power supply, these drivers are from other companies because (the remote from the driver on the shelf works on the ceiling (but completely wrong) and the remote control from the ceiling controller does not work on controller by the shelf.

Well, to sum up, everything is okay, it's just that this driver on the ceiling with the tape worked fine when I clicked red on the remote control, it was red, and now it suddenly happened that I click red and blue lights, etc.

For sure, the wires are well connected, I know that I can reverse the order of these wires to match, but I am asking out of sheer curiosity what is going on and why did it happen?

I have the same thing only in the kitchen, so I suspect it's from steam or cooking. Maybe someone has some ideas?

    Hello.
I have finally solved this problem! I have already replaced the led driver 4 times in the store, after some time the colors did not match the markings on the remote control.

If the colors have changed or you have soldered the color wires incorrectly - take the remote control in your hand and quickly press the buttons one after the other:

POWER BUTTON - FADE7 BUTTON - POWER BUTTON

the tape should flash white to confirm that you have changed color sorting. Then check if the colors of the light agree with the colors on the remote control, if not, do the above operation again as many times until the colors match. The controller has 6 options for sorting colors.

    Regards.

    Hello.
FADE7 button, which one is it?

The second thing that I can not find an answer to is: why after turning off the bar on the remote control it still glows blue? Driver fault?

Most likely the driver. I just replaced the driver and it works for me

Which button is fade7? My controller does not respond to combinations of turning on (any other) and turning on again
Are there any other programming combinations (it changes the controller mode)?

Because I had the same problem - I am sending a photo of the pilot on which this combination works.
And check the batteries - they are rarely replaced, hence some keys refuse to obey.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues with RGB LED tape lighting, specifically the malfunctioning of color selection via remote control. The original poster experienced mixed colors after replacing a driver and connecting a new LED strip. Responses suggest that the problem may stem from mixed connections in the drivers or incorrect wiring. Users recommend checking the color alignment between the remote and the LED tape, and one user provided a solution involving a specific button combination to reset the color sorting on the remote. Additionally, concerns about driver faults and the impact of environmental factors like steam were raised.
