    Hello.

I recently purchased a 5 m rgb led strip with a driver, power supply and remote control included. After connecting and gluing everything was popping, until one day after connecting I noticed a strange phenomenon, as if the buttons on the remote control were rearranged. The lighting modes work, most colors do too, but when I reduce the brightness of e.g. green, it turns into yellow when reducing, the typical blue has disappeared, but what hurts me the most is that after pressing off the tape does not go out, but changes to a weak pink.

The fault of the power supply, controller or remote control?

More like a driver, although you didn't write anything specific.

Well, once again. Everything worked, I plugged it in, the LEDs lit up, I could play with the remote control and turn them off completely with the remote control. The day before yesterday I connect the power supply, the LEDs lit up as always, so the remote control in my hand and I wanted blue, it turned on, but it was too bright, different than before, I wanted to reduce the brightness, when reducing the brightness it did not reduce the brightness, but gradually changed the color. I think "turn it off and on" then click "off", and the LEDs turned yellow instead of going out, the strobe, flash, fade, flash modes work normally, the tempo decrease/increase as well.

The fault lies 90% in the driver of poor quality. I went over the topic several times, testing a few Chinese. The reason for such a situation may be overloading of elements on the controller board causing a short circuit, break or change in resistance.

I have a chandelier with a similar remote controller. Once it also happened that he stopped changing colors, introduced operating modes randomly as he liked. I replaced two capacitors and a diode at the power input in the controller. It helped - he started listening to the remote control and still listens to this day.

You write about the symptoms and nothing about you pilot and driver. I don't even know if it's IR or RF. But rather as I wrote the driver. Repair not profitable in China IR you can buy below PLN 10.

IR remote control 24 buttons, LS0964 driver, SMD 5050 tape, 150 diodes, 5m. In that case, I will replace this driver with the remote control, the only question is, is it better RF or IR? 12V 2A power supply like something.

PSU too small, replace with a larger one.

Hello, I have a problem with the LED strip. The thing is that I have had them for some time and so far everything has been working OK, and yesterday I wanted to turn them on and plugged in the plug, the tape lit up and changed colors all the time, I tried to switch it with the remote control and it turned out that the remote control did not respond to anything, nothing could be done do it as if the remote control didn't work. But I replaced the batteries with new ones but it still doesn't work. PLEASE HELP WHAT COULD BE THE REASON THAT YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITH THE REMOTE CONTROL WHAT COULD BE THE REASON FOR THIS

Don't shout and start your own topic, although I don't predict anything for you because you need to have a minimum of knowledge. You need to know how to check the remote control, you need to know how to check the controller, you need to be able to use a meter. You don't have this knowledge, so you replace everything with new ones and you have peace of mind.
However, if you have this knowledge, we can help you.

The remote control has unpaired from the controller. Need to pair again. Type the controller in Google and see how it is paired with the remote control.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a malfunctioning 5m RGB LED strip controlled by a remote, where pressing the off button results in a weak pink light instead of turning off. Users suggest that the issue likely stems from a poor-quality driver, with one user sharing a similar experience that was resolved by replacing components in the controller. The author identifies the remote as an IR type with 24 buttons and mentions the LS0964 driver and SMD 5050 tape. Recommendations include replacing the driver and considering the power supply's adequacy, as well as re-pairing the remote if it becomes unresponsive.
