    Hello.
I have an AMICA EBC 6541AA oven for about two weeks, it was installed recently. I carried out firing according to manual 30 min. 250oC, smoked and made the whole house dirty. But that is not the point. Despite being burned out, it still stinks of her. In total, I have been burning it for about 2.5 hours at 250oC, the smoke does not come out anymore, but it smells as much as at the beginning.

Is it only for warranty? Should you burn it for a few more hours?

Thanks for the answer. It's a little hard to believe that this smell is not harmful. It is biting and clothes can pass through it. Do you know exactly what this measure is?

Hello, I have the same problem with a similar oven. After a few hours of burning, it smells like plastic all over the house. I checked the outlet, it's cold. There is a bad smell from outside the main oven cavity, but it's hard to tell where from. Some plastic, insulation is on fire.
Today I made a complaint. I am waiting.
Any news on this matter? I will be grateful for the information.

I haven't called the hotline yet, but:

    1. I baked a cake - it didn't smell like that, it probably mixed with the smell of the cake + baking "only" at 180oC and not 250 so maybe it had some effect; the dough did not smell like that
    2. I baked a roast, here at a higher temperature the stench was more perceptible, but still weaker than at the beginning

As for where it comes from, I also have a similar feeling. The chamber itself does not stink, it is very clean there and nothing seems to be the source of such a stench. As for the smell, I confirm it, something like burned plastic, some plastic, suffocating.

Let me know what about the complaint. What is the specific model of the oven?

Thank you for opinion. Amica service has already visited us once due to problems with the hood from the very beginning. It's nice because they come, take and fix it.
As for the oven, I am waiting for contact with the service, probably in a week someone will appear. Amica oven EBI8564AA.
Best regards and successful baking without the stench! I immediately feel my wife trying to bake something from a distance, luckily it tastes good :)

Some time ago the oven came back from the service. They did it to me without words. Now nothing stinks. The fact is that the casing heats up a bit more, but maybe it's just an impression, because it's hard to compare it now. I recommend a week of waiting and screaming.

    Regards

You are lucky that the website arranged it for you. For me, I have already carried out "Firing" about 5 x 1h 280 degrees, it does not help - the oven stinks all the time as it did at the beginning. Now I took it outside and I will burn it there, because the stench in the house is unbearable - despite the open window and full ventilation. The instructions say that after an hour it should be ok - but it is not. The oven is Amica ED47634BA + X - TYPE OPENUP. I called the service, but the service technician said that these ovens are so lame and that's it - nothing can be done. The complaint was rejected because the oven is functional according to the service.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the AMICA EBC 6541AA oven, which emits a persistent odor after initial burning procedures. Users report that despite following the manual's instructions for a 30-minute burn at 250°C, a strong smell, reminiscent of burnt plastic, lingers even after multiple hours of operation. Some users suggest that the odor is due to the oven's insulation materials and will diminish over time with regular use, particularly during baking. Others express concerns about the smell's intensity and potential harm, prompting them to contact AMICA's service for resolution. Experiences vary, with some users successfully resolving the issue through service intervention, while others continue to struggle with persistent odors despite repeated attempts to burn off the smell.
