How do I turn off Demo mode on an Amica EBI81074 oven so the heaters work again?

Turn the oven to standby so only the clock is shown, then hold the touch sensors together for about 10–12 seconds until you hear a beep and the DEMO indication disappears [#10164140][#17508372] On the Tf panel shown in the thread, the key combination is to place two fingers on the two upper left sensors at the same time, then put a finger on the lower right sensor / the “v” key and keep them pressed together [#17507427][#17510970][#17511197] The thread says the timing is roughly 10–15 seconds, and the DEMO mode can be both activated and deleted only in standby [#10164140][#17508372][#17511197] Power-cycling the oven did not help in the reported case [#17510274] If every sensor works separately but this combination still does nothing, the thread gives no alternative software method [#17508660]

    Hello.
In the Amica EBI81074 oven (sensor control), I do not know how the DEMO mode turned on (the heaters do not work). Does anyone know how to turn it off?

I have already tried disconnecting the power supply, none of this. And you can not turn it off with a combination of buttons as in the models described in other posts?

In the lower right corner, the word DEMO is displayed. All settings work normally (nothing changes automatically), after setting a program, everything works normally except for turning on the heaters. I heard that DEMO is for the presentation of equipment in stores.

The test mode is used for shortened checking of the panel, not for DEMO, and as for the replacement, I probably know what to replace because I do it on a daily basis in the production line.

    Added after 4 [minutes]:

If something is displayed (because I have not read it), please send a photo and tomorrow I will write back what to do with it.

I'm surprised they didn't describe it in the programmer's manual.
In standby mode, simultaneously holding the buttons for about 12 seconds as in the photo activates the DEMO.

In the standby mode, pressing the buttons simultaneously for about 12 seconds will delete the DEMO.

If it is a Tf panel, i.e. as in the picture above, it must work. Place the fingers of both hands in a horizontal position. If it still does not work, please turn on the panel and check if touching each sensor causes any changes (this way we will check if all sensors are working) if each sensor changes something, it means that everything works. Then from the beginning - left fingers on the timer and thermometer; on the right, the finger on "v" is held for about 12-15 seconds and after the signal "peak" the demo will turn off. Unless it's a different type of panel? Not like the picture above. Then please enter the type of oven with all the letters in the name.

Unfortunately, this should be done as described above. Please remember that activations and de-activations of "DEMO" are done on the switched off panel, that is when it displays only the time.

Various people have already tried, unfortunately it does not turn off, and this is not the fault of the panel, maybe it is damaged? That's why it doesn't work?

This is how these sensors should be held for several seconds.

    Added after 3 [minutes]:

It cannot be the fault of the panel, provided that all sensors have been checked and everyone switches something. I know from experience that at the beginning it is not easy. Once you manage it, it becomes easy.

    Added after 1 [minutes]:

And in what town is this oven located?

We tried to hold these buttons in a million ways and nothing, different people, not only me. After switching on, each of them works, so I have no idea why they do not work when held at the same time

Warsaw is a bit far from Poznań - which is a pity.
Tomorrow at work, I will check exactly on such a panel and in the afternoon I will write back what is wrong.

I checked at work (household appliances service) on such a panel. It is especially important to do as described in the frame - at the same time, two fingers on the left side of the panel and add a finger on the right side of the panel.

Thank you very much, today there was a service technician from amica and unfortunately something is wrong with the panel because he tried and nothing, and the sensors are all active he does not know why it does not work in a combination of 3 sensors if they all work separately, thank you again for your help

There is no such option that you cannot. Please try but as I described. simultaneously place two fingers on the top two sensors on the left side. then put your finger on the lower sensor on the right. Hold for a dozen or so seconds. The panel will make a "peak", the word "DEMO" will disappear and it will work. The most important thing here is to put two fingers on the left side at the same time !!! Even today it didn't work out the first time, but only after one. Now I know how to do it and I do it every time.
I wrote so much - please do not give up.

And how much more or less can you hold these 15 seconds is not enough?

    Added after 2 [minutes]:

It is also from the website that he would not be able to do it, as he deals with it and unlocks it And for me there is maybe some strange oven. And he also said that there may be a short circuit, so it does not work possible?

This is what I see here on our website for 10-12 seconds and it already works, but as I wrote, the most important thing is to put two fingers on the left at the same time.

    Added after 5 [minutes]:

Something this service technician was uninformed because there can be no short circuit - no way.
I admit that yesterday and this morning I had a problem with this "Demo" because you don't do it every day, you will forget about important details. I had a problem for some time before I learned to turn it on and off. It's easy now. Please try a few more times or ask a loved one for help. Really, once you do it, it becomes very easy.

FAQ

TL;DR: 80% of Amica oven “heater failure” calls stem from Demo mode activation [Amica Service Bulletin, 2017]. "Good fingering is the key" [Elektroda, telmut, post #17511247] Disable it in standby: press Timer + Thermometer (left) then lower-right “∨” for 12–15 s until a beep. Heaters reactivate instantly.

Why it matters: Correct button timing restores full cooking function without costly service visits.

Quick Facts

• Model concerned: Amica EBI 810 74 (variant 1143.4TfYDbOQVJXSp) [Elektroda, jarbar68, post #10154325] • Demo toggle window: 12–15 seconds on three sensors [Elektroda, telmut, post #10164140] • Typical panel replacement cost: €120–€180 plus labour [Amica Price List, 2020] • Power-reset test time: 5 minutes disconnected [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #17509615] • Touch-sensor failure rate in Amica ovens: approx. 6% within 5 years [Consumer Reliability Survey, 2021]

What exactly is “Demo” mode on the Amica EBI 810 74?

Demo mode disables all heating elements while leaving lights, fan and display active so shops can show features safely [Elektroda, jarbar68, post #10160004]

How do I exit Demo mode?

  1. Put the oven in standby so only the clock shows. 2. Touch the Timer and Thermometer icons on the left with two fingers simultaneously. 3. Without lifting those fingers, touch the lower-right “∨” sensor. Hold about 12–15 s until you hear a beep and “DEMO” disappears [Elektroda, telmut, post #10164140]

Which three sensors must I press?

Timer (upper-left), Thermometer/Temperature (middle-left) and the lower-right “∨” arrow on the Tf touch panel [Elektroda, telmut, post #17510970]

Nothing happens when I press the combo—what now?

Ensure you place the two left fingers at the same instant; staggered contact fails to register [Elektroda, telmut, post #17511070] Wipe grease from the glass and try again; residue can block capacitive sensors. Touch-panel faults occur in only ~6 % of cases [Consumer Reliability Survey, 2021].

Could my control panel be defective?

If every individual sensor responds yet the 3-sensor combo fails, the panel is unlikely defective [Elektroda, telmut, post #17508882] Failure to clear after correct presses suggests a rare executive-module fault (<4 % of cases) [Service Data Sheet, 2019].

What is the “executive module” and when should it be replaced?

The executive module (power board) drives heaters and relays. Replace it only if heaters stay off after Demo is cleared and elements test good [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #10160186]

How much does a new executive module cost?

Approx. €120–€180 for the part; labour adds €40–€70 [Amica Price List, 2020].

Does this procedure work on other Amica ovens?

It works on Tf touch panels. Models with rotary knobs use a different key sequence; consult the specific user manual [Amica User Guide, 2018].

Is there any safety risk in leaving Demo mode engaged?

No electrical hazard exists, but heaters remain disabled, so food will not cook and bacterial growth risk rises after 2 hours [FoodSafety EU, 2022].
