I have questions about the capacitor for the start/stop system used in Peugeot and Citroen cars. Maybe someone has already checked this capacitor.

    http://www.continental-corporation.com/www/pr...ss_releases/pr_2010_10_13_microhybrid_en.html

    - What is the voltage of this capacitor?
    - Are the current terminals connected directly to the capacitor or is there a relay inside the housing?
    - What is this cable with a plug for? Is it for the temperature sensor or for some electronics inside the capacitor?
    - What is the leakage current?
    - Does this capacitor actually have a capacity of 650F?
Maybe someone has a diagram of how to connect this system in a car.

This capacitor module is probably charged to 5.4V. According to practice, one capacitor is charged to 2.7V. Two 1200F units are connected in series.

    Here you have more: articles.sae.org/8412/
There is no diagram :-( The idea is described. After 3 months, if I remember correctly, it retains 60% of the charge.
From the article you provided and from sae it appears that it is connected to electronics called E-booster.

it is a so-called Energi battery charged at 5v

Friend Audic5, can you write more about it - what is it for and what is it connected to?
Does this have anything to do with the vehicle`s multimedia?

To the alternator. Turning it into generators. For starting a warm engine. And acceleration assistance.

Means what? It converts this 5V into energy that the alternator uses to work as an electric motor?

The alternator is a 3F generator. If you add an inverter, you will turn it into an engine.
This is how it works, there are videos on YT presenting this technology.

A question about S&S, a new battery, the symptom is that the engine dies and revs back up, the ECU light flashes. P1A8D error. Has anyone encountered this?
I will add that S&S worked properly.

I did something like this: "initializing the health status of the energy accumulator" everything is back to normal - reason? a marten got into the harness from the capacitor ...greetings

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the specifications and functionality of the start/stop capacitor used in Peugeot and Citroen vehicles. Key points include that the capacitor is likely charged to 5.4V, with some sources indicating a capacity of 650F, although practical configurations may involve two 1200F units in series. The capacitor connects to an electronic system referred to as E-booster, which aids in energy management for starting warm engines and providing acceleration assistance. There are inquiries about the connections, including whether terminals are directly linked to the capacitor or involve a relay, and the purpose of additional cables, which may relate to temperature sensing or internal electronics. Leakage current and charge retention over time are also discussed, with reports suggesting a retention of 60% after three months.
