Logitech Z323 Subwoofer Activation Without Satellites: 9-DIN RCA Port Plug & Pinout Guide

Is there an easy way to make a switch that activates its amplifier by shorting the appropriate pins in the socket of the 9 din RCA port plug?

It does not have such a diagram, but I do not think Logitech complicates its life by defining a different pinout for each model on the same connector. If I were you, I'd take that risk and assume they're identical connectors.

The bigger problem is that there are two contradictory information on this issue in the indicated topic. In post # 2 it was stated that to turn the system on, pin 6 should be connected with pin 8 and in post # 26 that pin 6 should be connected with pin 7. The latter looks more likely, because there is ground on pin 8 and power on pin 7.

Try to connect pin 6 to 8 with a cable for a moment and if it does not start, nothing bad should happen, even if the connection is wrong for a moment.

I had a set of these speakers for repair with a damaged potentiometer in the satellites, it is pins 3 and 4 in the plug that need to be shorted so that the subwoofer works without two small speakers.
