Hello, I have a question, how long does the fender dry for example (in a passenger car) after a visit to the painter, i.e. after straightening, puttying, applying a primer, color (matelik) and varnish. Is it possible that in one day you can do it all, it will dry overnight, and the next day you can drive a car? Regards.

    Hello.
It takes the longest time to prepare an element for painting. Before the varnish, there will be a primer, then matting and varnish. If the painter starts in the morning and has drying rooms, he can do it in 1 day.

The putty must dry well. Modern materials require several hours for this. It also depends on how much of this putty has been applied. The varnish also dries in a few hours, although it gets full hardness after a few days (you can make an imprint on it until then).

It depends on how much hardener was added to the varnish, you can leave for 2 days.

Anticorrosive primer >> putty (several times) >> spray putty >> primer >> varnish - base >> clear varnish >> polishing. All this has to be done in order to be as it should be, plus drying, matting, sanding putty (it takes the longest time). I don't think he would do it in one day, unless he really has a drying room or radiant heaters. Some people also skip some activities (anti-corrosion primer, spray putty) which is not correct.
