Or maybe yes, printing on plain paper, then laminating and gluing on a thin double-sided tape? I admit that I do not know how costly it would be?

You have to cover the inkjet printing with foil anyway because it is not waterproof.
More like a laser on a special white foil.

I wonder if you can make a small plotter out of an ordinary printer and have fun with a different type of ink.
    Rather forget it

Print on an inkjet and use a colored xero on smooth paper and stick it on a double-sided tape because I do not know if they are photocopied on self-adhesive. The whole thing can be sprayed with a clear acrylic varnish, which will give a protective coating.

There is self-adhesive photo paper for inkjet printers, photo papers for inkjet printers can be said that they are waterproof, I used to have a lot of such paper when I still had inkjet printers and I remember that the printout was even waterproof. Another, much better solution is to print on a self-adhesive foil intended for a laser printer. THESE ARE THESE FOILS.

What do you want to know? When I used it (about 12 years ago) it was quite expensive, I remember that 1 A4 sheet cost PLN 4. and you had to buy the entire package (probably 25 sheets), now such films have probably become cheaper, you have to search on googles.
