    Hello,
Citroen "enables" the connection of the car to the network. For the service to function properly, you need a 3G USB dongle and a subscription. The problem is that:
The price of this set for the customer is PLN 1,300 net.
The cost of the annual subscription is PLN 464 net.
Citroen Multicity Connect (C4 Cactus): Replacing Expensive Modem with 3G USB Dongle & Subscription

My question is, has anyone explored the topic?
Could an expensive modem be replaced with an ordinary modem available on the market, with Internet access from an operator operating in the country?
I've already searched various forums, a lot of people ask this question. Maybe there would be someone who would undertake the combination of the modem with the car? I think the problem is with some "driver" uploaded to the modem that will automatically install and connect the car to the Internet.
I will be grateful for any tips.
    Regards,
    Mariusz

Complete silence on the subject, so I will answer vaguely. You have to watch forums or ask modem manufacturers. I had a problem with the TV. Generally it worked only with the original modem, after some time TP link released the firmware to work with these TVs and everything works fine. Probably there will be a bigger problem here, knowing the car manufacturers, the modem will be assigned to a specific car, but if there are enough people willing, there will be replacements.

Thank you. As of today, there is very little information. Of course, I will be browsing the forums. Maybe it is this topic that will be the focus of willing buyers and ready to help.
Because where, if not on the electric cable.
    Regards.

    Hello.
    I have a Citroen c4 picasso.
This has the multicity connect function, but also has the ability to set the internet via bluetooth. At the moment, I checked with one phone on Windows and unfortunately I was not able to connect. I called the service about this and someone (apparently) checked again, but with an android phone and the internet was fastened. Maybe there is no need to use the purchased access as it would be possible to provide the internet.
