I am asking for help. Several / several dozen times a day in one of the rooms (in the wall) in the apartment you can hear "shooting / chirping", a singular but loud noise (a sound very similar to the so-called breaking in the bones, e.g. when bending the knee). The apartment is new (block commissioned in 2013). Today we turned off all electricity - the fuse box in the apartment - but the chirping did not stop. It closes both day and night, e.g. half an hour of silence, suddenly one cycle, in 5 minutes another cycle and silence ... ..we don't know what's going on .... we suspect electrics, but as I wrote above, after disconnecting the switch box, the chirping did not stop .... unless it was chirping "from the neighbor". Any ideas, hints ??? Please help !!!! ps. I have submitted the matter to the administration - waiting for a professional ....

It is such a sound that 99% is the fault of the electrics. We just wonder what the reason could be (short circuit, damaged cable ???? and where is the problem?

Rather, something thermally expands and contracts. Some kind of connection. I've heard something like that before. Observe whether there is dependence on weather, heating.

Since you turned off the electricity in the main switchboard, and the "chirping" persisted, you do not need to graduate from electrical school to know that it is not the fault of "electrics".
    People think a little.

    It means?

Just like the friend said. More like thermal expansion and contraction. Maybe a rebar. Maybe a pipe. Or maybe a neighbor has a relay there.

Most often, this is how the deaeration pipe for central heating risers / radiators "shoots", it is quite long ("runs around the whole apartment"), a slight change in its temperature causes strong stresses.

It was the same for me, but it calmed down after 2 years. The building is just laying down and concrete / tiles / CO / underfloor heating is gently moving. It will cease over time.

I don't quite know who looks in the apartment blocks, but in my house, all the batteries are transferred to the "noise" of the switch valve in the gas stove. If it heats the radiators and notices that it has hot water consumption, it rearranges the circuits to heat the utility water, not the water in the radiators.

Or have you been able to solve the problem? We are struggling with a similar situation. We have lived here for two years and nothing has changed. There is a loud clicking at random times. We have the impression that sometimes from different places from the walls.... I have attached an example of the sound.

Whether the house or flat has been consecrated.

The strangest thing is that the same thing happens at my house.
Such cycling at different intervals .
As if in a window frame, on a computer desk.
    I
Only at night after lights out.
    House inhabited 1.5 years.
It could be explained that the glass in the windows is stacking up.
Or that the wind is blowing outside.
Except that you only turn off the light and after a while it starts.
It is possible not to pay attention to it.
    But it is tiring

Exactly the same sounds as I attached? In my case it has nothing to do with the light being on unfortunately. It bangs just as much during the day as it does sometimes at night. I live on the top floor and am only bordered by my neighbours with one wall, from which there are no such sounds. The neighbour below me claims that there are no such sounds at his place....

If this happens in a flat in a block of flats.
Then report it, let them check it out.

Of course I reported it already probably over a year ago. They checked on the roof, put a camera in the ventilation, talked to the neighbours, checked the CCTV, the lift. And nothing. Pipek is a neighbour? I guess that's the only explanation :) .

    >>21161764 hey, at my place it also shoots like this in the walls or in the furniture all over the house, and most often at night you can hear crackling. What have you guys done about it? Help

    These are metaphysical matters more.
You have to say out loud then
    "Go towards the light".
And pray for that errant soul.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around unusual "shooting" and "ticking" noises emanating from the walls of a new apartment, despite the electricity being turned off. Various participants suggest potential causes, including thermal expansion and contraction of pipes, issues with central heating systems, or even sounds from neighboring units. Some responses highlight that the noises are likely not electrical in nature since they persist when power is disconnected. Observations about the materials of the wall (plaster vs. drywall) and the influence of environmental factors are also mentioned. The conversation includes personal experiences with similar noises and the frustration of unresolved issues despite reporting them to building management.
