    Hello.

As the topic. A student recently brought me a job on a Sandisk Ultra flash drive
USB 3.0. The flash drive is like new because the student received it for Christmas. After inserting the pendrive into the laptop, a message appeared that the pendrive should be formatted.
The formatter indicated that the capacity of the device is .... 64MB! The format attempt was unsuccessful and after some time the pendrive stopped giving any signals of life.

The only thing I was able to do was read data such as VID and PID with Chipgenius 3.0. The entire Chipgenius screenshot is below:

Description: USB mass storage device (SanDisk Sumeru)

For comparison, the result of Flash Drive Information Extractor 8.4

    PID: 5581

    Query Vendor ID: SanDisk
    Query Product ID: Sumeru

    Microsoft Windows 8.1 x64 Build 9600

I tried various formats from Russian and Chinese but to no avail, neither of them can see the device. Only ChipGenius and the latter can see them.

    Anyone have any idea?

In your post I read about Phision. My guess is that it is service software for memories produced by this company.
I tried some version before but to no avail. Can not see.

Personally, you can still try USB Oblivion.

As for Obilivion, I do not know if I understood the description correctly, but it is probably used to make the computer "forget" which USB flash drive was connected to it before. For me, after starting Oblivion, the pendrive after connecting is no longer visible in Windows Explorer. I must keep digging.

Mikołaj found a receipt so resuscitation does not make sense, and since there are no tools, it would be impossible anyway. Thank you, however, for the information. I think that others with the same problem will be helpful.

I close the thread and greet all forum members.
