    Medion 64 GB flash drive.
Entering Properties it shows 0 GB. Formatting with Windows (Vista): The system was unable to complete the formatting.
    Capacity unknown.
Some windows blink after plugging in a USB flash drive.

    I have tried many programs:
    Rufus
    HP_USB
    TestDisk
    and others

It seems to me that this is a controller matter, but I don't know how the program is operated: SMI MPT?
I would ask for such a blatant instruction

    ChipGenius Screenshot:
Pendrive Medion - controller - Pendrive Medion 64 GB: 0 GB and does not format

Screenshot from SMI MPT - after entering Scan USB:
Pendrive Medion - controller - Pendrive Medion 64 GB: 0 GB and does not format

Screenshot after entering the pendrive number 1 - the Dialog window has appeared:
Pendrive Medion - controller - Pendrive Medion 64 GB: 0 GB and does not format

    Drop after entering Start:
Pendrive Medion - controller - Pendrive Medion 64 GB: 0 GB and does not format

Screenshot after entering Setting - after entering password 320:
Pendrive Medion - controller - Pendrive Medion 64 GB: 0 GB and does not format

Here, for example, I found that UFD_3267AC cannot be selected with Select USP; the closest is UFD_3267AB

I also looked at various topics related to pendrives problems, but I am not able to deal with it myself ...

I will be grateful for your help :shii:

Sorry, but during the winter holidays in Krakow I leave a lot and I can't do too much.

I read the linked post - thanks :-)
Jaism has far more knowledge than I do. Please indicate what I should uncheck in the program ...

    PS.
Is it wise to use Gparted live -cd already at this stage?
I even started studying the descriptions about this program and I'm a little afraid of it. It looks like you can upload it to your computer and work on a flash drive from this level. But what to do after the new partition is uploaded? Does it have repair functions that I could use beforehand?

Maybe he'll tell you what .BIN to use for this memory, already writing an email to him.

    Something's not right. :|

Maybe I am wrong, but I would choose it "at first glance" -> SM3267ACISP-ISPHYTLC.BIN

    "I'm looking" for a tool -> ... v2.5.48 v9 P0414v1 :?:

Just what should I do now :?: If it is possible, I would ask you to take it "by the hand" [/ b]

No philosophy (despite the Chinese :D ), just run (see your first post).
l maybe it will be possible to upload from the machine (without setting) "N0626V1" (FW).

You have the link to download the file on pw.
For "combiners" (self-proclaimed flash drive repairers), unfortunately, this tool will not be so readily available. :|

    Description of Conduct:
    1. Cleaning the registry with pendrives removed.
    2. Connecting only this flash drive and working with sm32Xtest_V48-9_CN .

Despite the effort, I managed - thanks pidar - achieve a partial success ...

    I did:
    1. Cleaning the registry with pendrives removed.
    2. Connecting the pen drive to the sm32Xtest (...)

It's already green OK, but I don't know what to do next?
Pendrive Medion - controller - Pendrive Medion 64 GB: 0 GB and does not format

I didn't know what to enter everywhere:
Pendrive Medion - controller - Pendrive Medion 64 GB: 0 GB and does not format
Maybe, for example, this is the lack of an ISO image? I don't know how to do it here? Maybe some suggestions?

Data from the window Dialogue :
Pendrive Medion - controller - Pendrive Medion 64 GB: 0 GB and does not format

the information from Flash Drive Information Extractor is still the same:

Entering Properties, it still shows me 0 GB. Some windows blink after plugging in a USB flash drive.

Testing it in Testdisk produces a partition error. Looks like you need to load him a new partition path ...

I am still asking for help :bye:

I am adding the same version to the test again from a different source, because there was supposed to be a problem (error) with the one with unpacking.

Pidar - I confirm once again - you are GREAT :please:

This time everything went smoothly :P

    Description of Conduct:
    1. Cleaning the registry with pendrives removed.
    2. Connecting only this flash drive and working with sm32Xtest

I did as standard Scan USB :
Pendrive Medion - controller - Pendrive Medion 64 GB: 0 GB and does not format

Later Start . Here is a photo during testing:
Pendrive Medion - controller - Pendrive Medion 64 GB: 0 GB and does not format
It can sometimes crash here. It is worth to delete it then Program and unpack it again.
Looks like Program assigns a new pendrive number himself.

    Final effect:
Pendrive Medion - controller - Pendrive Medion 64 GB: 0 GB and does not format
All in the end Program must be closed, because the pendrive cannot be uninstalled - it communicates that it is still in use.

Then - just in case - I treated the flash drive Rufus and then formatted normally.

It works for today and I think that if there was a problem with it, I know how to deal with it :ok:

PS. I apologize for the long silence, but this is the solicitation ...

    EDIT
At the request of pidara I did additional flash drive tests :

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Medion 64 GB flash drive that shows 0 GB capacity and fails to format using Windows Vista. The user suspects a controller issue and has attempted various software tools, including Rufus, HP_USB, and TestDisk, without success. Participants suggest using GParted live-cd and Flash Drive Information Extractor for further diagnostics. The controller identified is Silicon Motion SM3267 AC, and users discuss using SMI MPT for potential recovery. After several attempts and guidance from other users, the original poster successfully restored functionality by cleaning the registry, using sm32Xtest, and finally formatting the drive with Rufus. The topic concludes with a summary of the successful recovery process and a link to a related discussion for devices with different controllers.
