    Hello,
    I have a printing problem.
The BROTHER HL-1210WE printer connects to the computer (via USB, I also have the option of wireless printing, but I use USB).
Orange LED flashes 4 times with 1 second pause. I read the manual, maybe it's a cartridge error. I took out the toner and put it in again, but still the same (I'm not a specialist but I took it out and put it in rather well).

Recently, I was printing more pages at once (about 100 pages). There were moments when I had to wait longer - for example, she printed 2-3 pages with a break. After two days, this LED started flashing (I don't know if it has anything to do with it).

    Please help,
    Greetings.

    Hello mate.
I am sending a link with an explanation of the lamps that have their own meaning.
It looks like you need to buy a new toner and install it, but I'm not sure and remember about the drum. Purging it may be enough. There is such a slider, run it 10 times at intervals of a few seconds and check.

    Thanks for the advice.
I ran the slider about 10 times and unfortunately the diode continues to flash. I think I did it right :)
You may need to replace the toner ... but by the way, I'm curious why so quickly. I was assured that I would be able to print quite a few pages. I have a printer from mid-June 2015 and the fact that I was printing a little, but it seemed to me that there is still a lot of toner. What's the best way to check it?
    Greetings.

Take out the toner and check on the roller that puts the ink on the paper whether there is visible ink (black) or only dust (gray). If you only have gray pollen, you need to replace the toner.

    Hello
Make up your mind buddy. Ink or Toner is a laser printer, so there is no ink there.
Where would the gray dust go there?

For the author of the topic. This printer is a very simple device, it doesn't have any sensors to check the amount of toner. It is solved by software, i.e. it has printed the number of pages specified by the manufacturer and stops with the information to replace the toner, regardless of whether it is physically exhausted or not. As I suppose, it was a starter toner, so it is without a resetter, i.e. threads from the presentation of this system, anticipating the question of what I would suggest to google it.
To sum up, replace the toner and after the problem, or if you feel up to it, buy a toner in a bottle plus an appropriate reseter and regenerate the toner yourself. As? You will find on youtube.

    Regards and good luck

    Yes of course. Toner.
It was a starter toner. I have inked, reset the printer, and is printing. How long? we will see, because this starter toner is not capacious :)
Mere resetting without ink loading would do nothing?

    M.

    Hello,
A while ago I had a problem with this printer and wrote here.
I loaded the toner, reset it, and it worked.
Now I don't want to, but I'm not sure if the code is bad or something else. I sprinkled some toner and it still doesn't work.

    Maybe someone can help.

Maybe someone remembers the printer model HL -1210WE?

Replace the toner or just the toner chip. You will know everything.

    Hello
After taking out the toner, there are two springs on the right side of the printer, press them down a few times with your fingers, and after inserting the toner, push it to the right towards these springs.

Topic summary

The BROTHER HL-1210WE printer is experiencing a printing issue indicated by an orange LED flashing four times with a one-second pause, suggesting a potential toner or drum error. Users have recommended checking the toner by examining the roller for visible ink or dust, as well as running a slider mechanism to purge the drum. It is noted that the printer may have a starter toner, which has a limited capacity and may require replacement sooner than expected. Resetting the printer after refilling the toner has resolved similar issues for other users. If problems persist, replacing the toner or its chip is advised.
