    I warmly welcome,

I have the following problem. Namely, my Brother DCP-1612WE multifunctional device, bought nearly six months ago, has been working and printing without complaint until today. It only ended with a week of toner, but I decided to use it until it stopped printing. And so in the middle of printing the file, the printer stopped and found that it would not take any more, because there was no ink, the message "CHANGE TONER" appeared. So I did, I bought a toner (unoriginal, but this is not the reason for that, in a moment), I inserted and ... the same message is displayed (and "cooling" is heard all the time - I suspect so). I've been struggling with the printer for about an hour, but nothing can move it. And I know that this particular new toner is fine and works on this device, because I have the same model as in the family home and there the printer accepts the same toner without any stutter. Do you know what the problem is and how can I remedy it quickly?

    greetings

Maybe the reseter (sprocket on the right side of the cartridge) accidentally turned before or during the installation in the printer.
I suggest you unscrew the right side of the cassette and set the reser by the videos that are available on the net.

You need to reset the toner level in the printer.
There are several ways to do this:
    1. cog
    2. key combination

Problem solved - it turned out that actually the cause was a new toner cartridge, more specifically its resetting rack. The problem is removed by unrolling the left side of the toner (seen from the front of the printer), at the bottom right side we will see a rack that is as if incomplete (as if half of the wheel). We turn it so that the teeth extend roughly from five o'clock to about twelve o'clock (we will feel resistance when we set the rack). We turn again, put in the printer and it works.
Thank you for your help and best regards!
