Hello. I am in possession of the FAAC 740 gate drive. I learned that in order to program remotes for it, the following steps should be performed:
    1.Take off the red jumper
    2. Press the red button. And put a jumper on it, the red LED should light up.
    3. Press the button on the remote control and hold it until the green LED lights up.
    4. Press again to make it go off
    5. The End.
The problem begins at point 2, because in addition to the red LED, the green LED also lights up and after the entire algorithm has been executed, the remote control works only once, then the drive does not detect it again. I would ask for help. Thank you in advance.

... remove the red jumper or switch off the power. They don't write anything about it in the manual?

Hello everyone :) and of course I am asking for help.
I have a 740 gate drive with FIX 1-2 N (with a jumper) installed 7 years ago. After a few years, some of the pilots were damaged and I bought a new XT4 433 RCBE. Unfortunately I can't program them. The whole procedure is successful if you program the old remotes (your own or borrowed from a neighbor, such metal horseshoe-shaped ones), but the new ones do not want to remember each other.

These remotes will not fit because faac changed the coding some time ago you have to buy fixes.

More precisely, you have a Polish Fix receiver and you have bought original Italian RC / LC radio remotes. All you have to do is push them or give them back and look for Fix remotes (I recommend two-channel - plastic, clunky with a blue LED but indestructible) or identical Omni replacements (they used to produce Fixy for Faac in Poland - note - not every new replacement works with the Fix receiver ) or replace the receiver with LC and completely switch to a new (i.e. Italian) radio.

    Read post # 2 ....

Let me once again describe the procedure / correct errors in the topic ...

1.Take off the red jumper (or turn off the power)
    2. Press the red button. Set the jumper (or turn on the power), while keeping the button pressed, then release the button - the red diode should light up.
    3. Press the button on the remote control and hold it until the green LED lights up.
    4. Press the same button again to turn it off.
4a. Press the second button of the remote control (for a two-channel receiver with a transmitter on the radio board).
    5. Repeat the procedure from point 2 to 4a for each transmitter.
    6. Remove the red jumper for a while and reinstall it (or turn the power off and on)
    7. The End.

    so it goes like this:
1.Take off the red jumper (or turn off the power)
    2. Press the red Learn button. While holding the red Learn button, put the jumper on (or turn on the power) while holding the button down and then release the button - the red diode should light up.
--------- And here it lights up red and green simultaneously.
    3. When the red extinguisher remains lit green and now press the remote control button, the diode will go out once more press the green diode will flash.
4.Take off the red jumper for a while and put it back on (or turn the power off and on), this causes the device to remember.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around programming remotes for the FAAC 740 gate drive, specifically addressing issues encountered during the setup process. Users report that after following the programming steps, particularly when the red jumper is removed and the red button is pressed, both the red and green LEDs illuminate simultaneously, leading to the remote only functioning once. Solutions suggested include ensuring the correct type of remote is used, as FAAC has changed coding protocols, and recommending the use of compatible remotes or replacing the receiver for better compatibility. Detailed programming steps are reiterated, emphasizing the importance of the sequence and the need to reset the system after programming.
