Then we go to the second level menu and there we have functions (it is a pity that the author did not consider it appropriate for what these functions are used for):
    1. Wind protection - what is it, how does it work in practice ???
    2. Reverse stroke
    3. Light touch - ???
    4. Initial flashing
    5. Delay of wing opening
    6. Delay of closing the sash
    7. Pause time.

So I ask for the clear ... according to what was written earlier in the manual where in the level 2 menu is the setting of the deceleration distance ???

    Hello.
Today I also installed the set in such a configuration and I can confirm it - the instructions are the bottom and 100 meters of silt ;)
I also relied on programming the remote control (the gate passes the opening and closing test). From what I noticed in the video - the difference is that the guest first presses the button on the remote that wants to program, and then in the central. The instructions are different.

I won't be testing anything tomorrow.

As for the above quote - I'm also interested in the above functions - does anyone have a description of how they work? not a word in the instructions ...

I am also very interested if it is possible to set the moment of slowdown of the wing, so that it does not stop abruptly on the blockades ... for me I did not notice any slowdown at all ...

PS. Maybe FAAC also has 2 instructions - for the user and the installer? ...

    EDIT
In general, the operation was successful. I will add, for the future it may be useful to someone - only after assigning the remote control to the central unit does the gate open and close, slowing down at the ends (earlier, when programming with the SETUP button on the central unit, the gate opened and closed without slowing down).

Of the above functions, I have decrypted almost all of them:

    1. Wind protection - what is it, how does it work in practice ???
    3. Light touch - ???

which I don't know how they work.

The last thing I need to work on is the remote controls. Well, I have 2 buttons XT and the first button opens the entire gate, the second button only half. I copied the second remote control, but the second one only works fully open, but I do not know how to set the 2nd remote control so that the 2nd button only opens half. (currently the 2nd button does nothing)

One question for people using this control panel - is it normal that the start of gate opening begins only 4-5 seconds after pressing the button on the remote control?
    Closing takes place virtually immediately.

I am surprised that when you press the remote control you can hear the relay immediately - the gate will shake gently and only then begin to open. As if the actuator first tried to close the already closed gate, and then only the opening begins.

Programming the gate opening / closing from the central unit is carried out without problems, relays are heard at the ends - the central unit also knows where the beginning and end of closing / opening is

    - you have the pre-flashing function activated (previous warning) with a warning lamp

    - you have the wing pressure / push function activated to unlock the electromagnetic lock

Both of these functions can be changed / disabled (this is described in the instructions ...).

OK, thanks for the information - I will check the deactivation of these functions (I do not have a lamp installed)

Therefore, you may not have noticed that before the gate opens, the lamp starts flashing.
However, after thinking about it, I think you only have the wings pushed function open. This is due to the fact that the pre-flashing function works in both directions, i.e. before opening and closing, and yet you wrote:

Checked - corrected, works as it should :D All in all my oversight - because, as you wrote - it was included in the instructions. However, I was convinced that all these features were initially turned off at the factory - and only this one was turned on.

Earlier I liked that the gate closes about 20 seconds - now it is maybe 12 :D and with a slow down at the end.

I have one last question - it's about the range of the faac xt2 868 slh lr remote control and its cooperation with a signal lamp with an antenna on 433MHz.

3.1.18. Do not send links that will stop working after some time. This will cause the discussion to lose any meaning.

The point is, will the installation of such a lamp actually increase the range of the remote control? (the remote control works at 868Mhz, while the lamp antenna at 433.92 MHz, hence my question). The current range of the pilot is maybe 20-25 m

Connecting the wrong antenna (at 433MHz) and the wrong cable can significantly reduce range.

This is definitely not enough (especially for SLH LR). Do you have a piece of 8.5 cm long cable plugged in the control panel in the correct place on the antenna terminal? Maybe you forgot about it when connecting ..

Hmmm there is probably no such terminal in this control panel ... there is only room for the xf module (for me xf 868), which has a protruding piece of wire, but as far as I know it is not connected anywhere? Of course, the module is connected (without it, the remote controls would not work at all)

As for the range - I have nowhere to find out how much it should actually be with these pilots ... it only says "increased range", or "range greater by 50%" ....

Of course "mea culpa", sorki. I meant the module ... If it has a factory wire connected in the right place, it's ok ...
Make a small test cheaply. Obtain a 50 ohm antenna cable section. Connect one end to the module (remembering, of course, that the screen / braid is connected to the ground, and the "hot" one under the antenna symbol), and the other end should be peeled so as to remove the braid / screen, leaving about 8.5 cm of the middle ("hot") wire in isolation . Attach somewhere higher (above the fence, post) taking care that the "peeled" piece does not come into contact with any element. Check coverage. If it improves significantly you can invest in a lamp with an antenna on 868 Mhz or ... mask the makeshift and enjoy better range :D
