Hello, I have a problem. Well, in the toshiba satellite L675 laptop my matrix broke down.
I read that it is possible to connect the so-called external monitor, but despite performing the recommended actions, nothing works. I would like to ask if I have a suitable cable, namely it is gray with network port inputs on both ends. When connecting both laptops to each other and pressing the FN + F5 matrix with a working matrix, nothing happens, I tried this combination also on a broken laptop - the same. I would like to add that I have the toshiba satellite u305-s7449 laptop external monitor at my disposal. I am asking you for help.

    And correctly.

    J / w.

You need to connect an external monitor. Alternatively, there is a possibility of remote access (remote desktop), but if it was not configured earlier, you will not do anything with a damaged matrix.

You mean, I can't make this external monitor using another laptop for it, but I can succeed using the TV as this monitor? And what about this cable - will it be one or another is needed (I checked it on the TV - it also has such an input)?

You have to use an external monitor (maybe a TV set), it is unlikely to work with the other laptop. You would have to have the remote desktop turned on, as my colleague maurycy123 wrote, and I suspect that you didn't turn it on, because then there would be no topic. As you wrote, you have a TV set - you can connect it with an HDMI or D-sub cable (commonly known as VGA), if both devices have such inputs. You can find what cables and inputs look like in google.

    Exactly.

If the TV has the right inputs and the laptop has the outputs.
