Unlock Port 25565 on UPC Router for Minecraft Server: Fix FAILED TO BIND TO PORT Issue

Hello, I have been struggling with this problem for a long time ... namely, I would like to just play a game with a friend in which the server in this case minecraft port 25565 is used. In the server files "FAILED TO BIND TO PORT" pops up I tried various guides but to no avail. Could someone direct me what and where to enter so that the port 25565 would simply work and the server did not display a message about the problem with ports?

Do you only have a vendor modem-router or some other device? Communication can also be blocked by a system firewall or some anti-virus.

Most likely to use DMZ on comp. where do you play. Sometimes it requires a restart of the UPC router for it to take effect.

Reset = restore to default values. Set the DMZ and restart by temporarily cutting the voltage off. You just need to enter the IP address correctly in the DMZ to be OK.

You don't have any Wi-Free with the 10 Mbps option. Besides, it has no influence on port management, because it is a separate VPN.

As I have mentioned many times - it may not matter (in your opinion), but deactivating this service results in port forwarding (this is my experience in this matter). If in the future you will have higher speed - then: You set up an account with them there - you get a password by letter (this was the case with me 10 years ago) - and you have the whole spectrum of what you have for services.

It doesn't hurt to turn it off, but it won't help either. I just know how a separate VPN, which is Wi-Free, works and that the redirects do not hit it, because they are done by the firewall on this router. Wi-Free can negatively affect wifi, not port management through your local firewall. And here there is no Wi-Free at all, because it starts at 30 Mb / s. Added after 7 [minutes]: @patrykdens Show what you set in the router's DMZ and the result from ipconfig / all with comp. which port is to be open.

No placebo - only organoleptically proven effectiveness of disabling this service. But why in this version it doesn't work - and when the service is deactivated, everything starts to work. It doesn't matter what should work - just what works.

Set up correctly. If it does not work after restart, and you are sure that your Firewall is not blocking, you need to report to UPC.

UPC blocked external port 25565, I don't know if it was on the router or somewhere else. The only way that worked was to forward port :80 -> :25565
It says in port forwarding

This function allows you to configure services in the local network such as **web servers**, FTP servers, e-mail servers, etc. in a way that allows them to be obtained from the Internet

So by setting the port to 80 minecraft impersonates the HTTP server and suddenly it works.

Btw. in server.properties the server-ip= attribute should be left empty or possibly set to the address of the machine in the local network.
