Write down what kind of controller you have on the electronics board.

    Hello
The battery is actually a replacement battery, the symptoms are that it only charges up to 3%, the laptop after disconnecting the power immediately turns off. At the moment I was doing measurements of only one cell and came out okay 3A. Due to this poor condition of the battery I can not update the bios. I have reset memory cells as described in the forum and compared the batches before and after the reset included in the threads and no effect, then I wonder if this is not any damage to the electronics. I did not give the processor because it is not there, there is an eeprom memory and a PWM Microchip TC649 controller on the board.

Tell your friend exactly what you measured. You wrote 3A - you measured the short-circuit current at the link, did you mean 3Ah, measured capacity? Post exact photos of electronics, the entire tile is best from two sides, what is the eeprom on it?

Sorry for mistake I rushed in the morning to work and crept in the mistake, I measured the capacity of the charger Turnigy Accucell 6 and one section gave about 3Ah, the other two sections have not yet tested voltage is similar at all links.
Electronics board on the other hand has only soldered connector and wires all electronics is visible in the picture that I put, eeprom is ATML H812 Pony Prog detects 512Kb of memory. The electronics are eeprom ATML H812, pwm TC649 controller, five subassemblies in sot 23 housings 2pcs A7W, 2pcs 6A2, 1pcs 1AM, 1pc Z3, several resistors and capacitors.

Ok, i.e. probably the atmlh812 chip, it is like the first part of the name, is there something written on the second line, eg 02B, 04B, 08B? Now I have read, wrote that the ponyprog detects the memory of 512 kb, in other words, as if it were eeprom 24c04. Some original toshiba batteries were on the eepromes 24c046 or 34f04wp, these are eepromes equivalent to 24c04. The memory of this replacement should therefore be reset as 24c046 or 34f04wp toshiby. These batteries do not have a controller on the board, only eeprom.
The 24c04 memories have a 512 B or byte, and you have read it as 64 kB or kilobyte. Read it as 24c04 or 512 B = byte.

    Hello
I'm sorry, but again I messed up, the memory is read Pony Progiem on the car and is just like my friend writes is 64kB, I also read as 24c04 to one of the battery programs because I did not want to open the bigger charge and fooled me.
    The eeprom is written
    ATMLH812
    04B 1

That means 24c04, so read the content as 24c04 which would correctly reset the batch.

I found the batch that I was playing as 24c04, out of curiosity, I will ask what meaning the size of the batch has to be reset. I do not know why Pony Prog read 64kB now as I re-inserted the original batch, the car reads normally 512B.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around resetting the PA3285U-1BAS and PA3285U-1BRS batteries for the Toshiba Tecra A8, which are Li-Ion 10.8V 4400mAh replacements. The user reports that the battery only charges to 3% and causes the laptop to shut down immediately upon disconnection from power. Various measurements and observations are shared, including the capacity of one cell being approximately 3Ah and the presence of an ATML H812 EEPROM and a TC649 PWM controller on the electronics board. Participants suggest that the EEPROM should be reset as a 24c04 type, as the original Toshiba batteries used similar EEPROMs. The user also clarifies the memory size read by Pony Prog, indicating confusion over the readings and the need for accurate resetting procedures.
