    Hello,
I have a Vauxhall Corsa, I drive with a car camera - I'd like to hide the cable going from it - and I don't really know how to do it?
The camera will be mounted next to the box on the highway.

The cigarette lighter socket is occupied by the navigation.

I always hide such cables - such as those from the microphone of the hands-free kit or the cameras - in the headlining next to the glass, then I go down under the cover of the pillar. Further under the board - it depends on what the transition is (you have to decide for yourself) and under the lighter. There is now a question to consider - whether to provide the cheapest distributor at the socket and connect one socket or to give something professional (I can see tom tom navigation). I ordered something like this from tomtom:

works perfectly. PS. you will probably have to buy / replace the standard cable with a longer one. Buy flat - it's nice to squeeze them into difficult places.

And what do you want to power the camera from? In my car (scenic 2 Ph 2), the camera is powered by the interior lighting circuit, which is powered only when the car has the central engine unlocked and / or the engine is on. The camera power supply sits above the headlining. I am not afraid of the increased power consumption of the camera and the backlight lamps because I replaced the bulbs with less power-hungry LEDs.

If you need to supply power from the radio / cigarette lighter, you need to release the cable with the edge of the headliner, then with the cover of the left pillar and behind the installation compartment.

I have two original tomtom lighter chargers - the problem is that I am completely green in this topic - how did you connect the webcam to the interior lighting circuit?
what would I like to mask the navigation cable - or hide the navigation somewhere - and mask the camera under the mirror there

What does green mean? Can't you push the cable in so that it cannot be seen? I'm not mischievous, I just want to figure out how to describe in detail. In my case, you can see a few cm of the cable only at the handles. I also do not like the cable lying around on the dashboard.

One would like to say: normally. But lest it was that I do not want to help.
Each interior lamp is connected with three wires: Power, ground and the door wire. I connected the camera to the power supply and ground.

NOTE: how to check when it can be connected in this way? Sit in the car, close the door and wait for the ceiling light to go out. Turn on the lamp in the car with such a dink by the lamp. Quit. Close the door. Lock with remote control. If it has gone out, you can connect. If it is on, turn it off or you will discharge the battery.

Of course it is possible, remembering to use the appropriate fuse.

... only when you connect it "to the battery" it will be on all the time. If it's a brand-name product it's not a problem, but I would be afraid to leave the Chinese no-name "upstream" unattended. Of course, the necessary condition is the function of activating the webcam after detecting motion, because if it were to record all the time, leaving the car for a few days, maybe a week, you would not be able to start it anymore, and secondly, the memory card would quickly fail.

Today I connected a webcam to my second vehicle in the home fleet - Nissan Micra. The cable flies from the camera, through the headlining to the cover of the passenger pillar, then it flies along this cover under the door seal to the glove compartment, then behind the glove compartment it is connected to the cigarette lighter cables. In my car, the voltage on the cigarette lighter socket appears right after the key is removed from the lock position, before "ignition".
Only that I did not use the power supply received with the camera, but I bought something like this:
