I know there are similar topics, forgive me.
However, I need help step by step. I have to burn my wedding for several 8GB DL DVDs. I received my wedding reception on my computer as an "mpeg" movie file, in 17.7gb size (it's probably on a blue ray) and on DVDs, but on two discs and I have to burn it on one DL because I already bought a box with photo tapes, etc., so there is no way to back out of the idea of burning onto a DL8GB DVD :(
For the first disc (I burned this 17.7GB file) I was able to burn my laptop without any programs from outside windows. Somehow, just doing "burn to disc" I was able to burn this disc and the file was reduced to 7.71 GB. For the second time, I could not repeat it. I transferred this file to my computer.
The folder is called VIDEO_TS and consists of the files:
    VIDEO_TS .BUP
    VIDEO_TS
    VIDEO_TS
    VTS_01_0.BUP
    VTS_01_0
    VTS_01_0
    VTS_01_1
    VTS_01_2
    VTS_01_3
    VTS_01_4
    VTS_01_5
    VTS_01_6
    VTS_01_7
    VTS_01_8
    questions:
    1. I want to burn it in such a way as to play it on desktop players and also on computers (i.e. everywhere). So it's easier to combine the 2 dvd discs I received, or burn the folder I received (above)?
    2. If it is to choose this file 7.71GB for burning, then how to burn it, i.e. I have a folder in which there are files like this. Now I click on this folder to record or go to the folder (inside), mark the files and record?
    3. What program? Plain from windows or other. Do I give a burn or can I burn a dvd ????
I will be grateful for your help because I'm starting to get tired, I have already destroyed several CDs and .... I have no idea what to do next. As I mentioned, I need a detailed instruction without terms that I probably won't understand :)
    Thanks alot

There may be problems with playing DL discs on desktop players - that's why you got it on two DVDs.

    Thank you very much,
Does this mean that it makes no sense to record these discs at all, because they will not play in stationary players?

You will play, but only on those that support Dual Layer.

The folder must be named VIDEO_TS, otherwise the player will not see the movie.

I don't know what players your friends / family have - older players won't read DL discs.

You can burn - if the discs are not read, you will burn to a 4.7GB DVD.

    I figured it out :)
But I will try. I looked at the nero you offered me. I wanted to download them, e.g. from good programs, but the anti-virus informs me that the file is dangerous, i.e. I do not quote a message, but I withdrew from downloading. Any suggestions about where and which nero (is it nero7) to download?

Never pull off from there, because they always attach a mess. The software is downloaded from the manufacturer and not from somewhere.
    Alternative programs are for:

Thank you Robert and Kasek. I wasn't there a bit and now it's time to start recording. The helmet gave me a nice manual for Nero Burning Rom 7, while Robert gave me a good page, but it is not possible to download Nero 7, but only Nero Burning Rom 6.6.1.15c and Nero Burning Rom 6.6.1.15.
Where to look for this Nero 7 virus-free, without unnecessary additions? Or maybe choose this Nero 6, if so which of these two?
    Thanks and best regards

    Added after 35 [minutes]:

I downloaded the nero burning rom 7 (15 days) trial version from nero. Screen in the attachment. There is also an option with blue ray. I am asking this because I have a version of a wedding on a computer with a size of 17.7gb (mpg file). Can this program "convert" (it's probably a bad word) to a double layer dvd to play on dvd ??? Then maybe the quality will not be the worst if I do it with this program.
There is also nero video on the nero site - what is the program for?
    Thanks

You can use the earlier version - the same in your case.
