Samsung SR-L39WEB Fridge Breakdown, Error Code RD, Defrosting Issue, Throttle Flap & Service Manual

The Samsung SR-L39WEB refrigerator broke down, by the way, practically reliable, all in all, it's a minor problem and I can't solve it. I was looking for a service manual for this model on the Internet and it was not easy, but stubbornness does its job and I found it. I am currently reading the manual and trying to solve the problem which is already known error code on the rd display. The fridge in the refrigerator part started to freeze the contents so I tried to defrost it completely and I did. After washing and restarting the refrigerator, the unit turns on only for about 30 seconds and then the automation turns it off and the display generates the rd code, which may mean a problem with the throttle flap, but when I checked it works for me. I mean an electrically operated flap located in the freezer compartment, but it rotates with a motor. Professional help is appreciated because I have a problem with finding even a service that would fix it for me and I fight the problem myself. I would very much ask someone for professional help. I can do a thorough electrical analysis of the entire refrigerator, but I need proper guidance. I am an IT specialist and not a household appliance technician, so I need support in this area. A colleague works well. There is probably a damaged reed switch, a small glass tube. When rotating the flap, the magnet should shorten or open the contacts. If the module does not receive a signal from the reed switch, an error is shown.

This is probably a good lead, because after removing the plastic cover of the air ducts, the flap rotates randomly around its axis. Eventually it stops in a random position as the electronics turn off all power to the refrigerator and generate this rd code on the display. You need to disassemble the entire panel - the back wall, look for the reed switch near the flap. I won't tell you exactly where because I last did it about a year ago.

I thought that there would be no need to remove the back plate, because you can't even see how to unscrew it, you can't see any screws fixing this plate. I have to figure out how to disassemble it and not damage the housing. I will document the progress in photos, maybe it will be useful to someone, after all, such refrigerators were sold a bit in their time, and they were not cheap. The most important thing is that the aggregate is operational and if it ended up replacing the contract, it would be great. It's strange that this contract could be damaged from frostbite, but nothing can be ruled out. It started so banally just in the very part of the refrigerator, the temperature reached -10, or maybe it was just the NTC temperature sensor that needed to be replaced, by the way I already ordered it, but if I don't solve this problem with the flap, then the sensor will not be useful.

With stubbornness and determination, everything can be repaired, I disassembled the plastic casing where the fan is located and the flap with the motor and reed switch. There is a magnet on the axis of the flap and a contractton is located nearby, which is the spiritus movens of the whole problem, because the contraction does not react to a similar magnet. Summing up, it is he who causes the flap to not be able to set properly and thus the control electronics does not receive the correct signal to start the aggregate. I have already ordered a contract with the cabling, which comes complete as standard. Below, I will place a photo documentation of the entire disassembly process in order to replace the contract.

As soon as I receive the ordered item, I will of course put the whole thing together and will test the contractor with the help of a multimeter and notify you about the success of the repair, which will probably be. Today, on 13/01/2017, I received the ordered contract from http://www.mkservice.pl/ generally, quite nice and decent service.
I did not want to play with this new cube because I would have to remove the old cube from the new set, so I cut off only the contractton itself from the new set and soldered it to the old harness, it was the fastest solution because the fridge is needed and everything melts around me. It's a bit of fun to attach those plastic pieces that make up these air channels. In addition, I also replaced the sponge gaskets due to the fact that the original ones were very flattened, no wonder they worked there for over 10 years. Now I tightened all the fixing screws, and the end, a moment of uncertainty, I turn on the fridge and wait 30 seconds, the fridge works, after a minute the fridge continues to work normally, and then suddenly after about 3 minutes it happened what I expected, I just succeeded, the fridge works like new. I think I will report to Samsung and set up an authorized Samsung service.

I have a reed switch (diagnosis after reading the forum).
Saturday stores are closed, friends do not have such a part (well, even a similar one),
saving the contents of the fridge is a whole night of cooking and baking what is in it (fully packed).

I came up with something and it worked:
- I soldered a keyboard switch instead of the sensor
- after starting the refrigerator, I pretended with the switch that the flap was turning
- the flap stopped in the closed position, so I held the short circuit on the switch for several seconds
The refrigerator still works after releasing the switch - I slightly opened the flap so that it was cold.

Now I am waiting for the ordered reed switch.
