Lupo 1.0 (ALL engine - Polo, Ibiza, Fox, Arosa)
Suddenly he stopped firing.
Good battery (12.4V), complete lack of errors (VCDS), after turning the key into ignition you can hear for a moment how the pump works and ...
it wont start. He turns like crazy and no response. Nor trying to get it.
It happened suddenly. Before, he always smoked to touch.
First, I tried to fire with a second key (maybe it's an immobilizer?) To no avail. I checked the candles. There was a spark (although I also replaced the candles prophylactically) that is, the coil, finger, dome probably working.
After removing the candles, when the ignition was switched on, fuel was sprayed from the socket after the candles, i.e. the fuel supply system probably functional.
I tried to start with the start starter, to no avail.
I also tried to check (unfortunately only with my finger; D - sticking to the socket after unscrewing the candle) whether there is compression when starting the ignition. Due to poor access, frost ... etc, I found that the air pulsed, although the person who helped me claims that it is too weak and hence the problem. Just too little compression and the frost that shrunk the rings is the reason for not firing.
Is it possible ?
Someone told me that this could be a timing belt problem. Possible ?
Or is it the cause of a damaged crankshaft position sensor? Or maybe another sensor? (VCDS does not detect errors
