Hello, such a question I have 8kamer 2mpx, if there is a recorder connected to the internet but NOT watching any cameras ONLINE is a lot of kb such a recorder sends / receives? On a monthly scale, it can be 1 / 2GB?

And what is he supposed to send if no one can receive anything? From time to time, he can only update his time, etc. According to me, if he does not automatically download the update, it can be a maximum of a dozen / tens of megabytes per month. Of course, another matter when someone connects, then a gigabyte a day can go down quietly but it depends on the recorder, its compression, etc.

If it connects somewhere through the cloud or p2p, then probably these values in the month scale can be real because there is always some data exchange between the recorder and the cloud server.

If we take into account that every even the smallest attempt to connect to the internet takes a predetermined packet, eg 100kb (even if the transfer was 1kb), maybe within a month, a few MB picks, but not 2GB ..... !! The recorder with the p2p cloud must contact, so even ping the p2p server - it will cost 100kb. Maybe the router has DDNS configured or something?

Hello I have two recorders each for 4 cameras, the recorders are connected to the GSM router for the Sim card. I did not notice that they downloaded any more data when I'm not connected to them. Once in a while, I'll check what's going on and that's it. Monthly 1gb is enough.
