    Hello,
Unusual problem, laptop with windows 10.
I have a password protected profile. After turning on the computer, I am greeted with a nice start screen with the time. After pressing any key, I should go to the login screen to enter the password, but this does not happen. After pressing the key, the login screen appears for 1-2sec and returns to the start screen all day. Has anyone encountered such a problem?
    What I've done so far:
    - Automatic windows 10 repair does not help.
    - There are no restore points so I can't restore the system from a few days ago.
    - I do not want to reset the computer to the initial settings because it is an interesting problem and I want to solve it :)
    - In the registry in Profilelist I changed the profile path to log me on temporary (did not help)
    - I have replaced files in Windows.ui.logon (Windows.ui.logon.pri)
    - I tried to add a new user from the console, but he doesn't add it to me because another registry is opening
    - Anticipating some questions: Disk OK, not faulty, battery removed, and other receivers from USB ports.
    Someone something?

WIN 10 PRO, Dell Vostro. I have exactly the same problem after the update of 1/16/2017. Today I had to restart the computer and after a restart like a friend above. Login screen and wallpaper. The date time disappear and the login screen does not appear. Sometimes it appears for 2 seconds, turns the circle and returns to the wallpaper.

I turned on startup in safe mode - did not help.
System restore from restore point completed - failed.
Entering safe mode ends with a black background and cursor, ctrl + alt + delete does not work.

Restoring to an earlier point before this update, e.g. 9.01.2017, also failed.

The system does not respond to keyboard commands.
    ------------------------------------------------
When you try to uninstall the last update using the command line, the uninstall prompt (window) pops up for 2 seconds and disappears. Nothing goes on.

    --------------------------------------------
The solution to my problem after this update was to remove the password from the account where it happened.

I confirm what the previous speaker has said. The problem is the password (some faulty update or something is causing it).
In my case, after removing the password, a black screen with a cursor appeared. The computer still did not respond to commands or keyboard shortcuts. After firing the command line (5xshift I replaced sethc.exe before) and running the explorer.exe process the desktop appeared and everything is hula.
Thanks to Jurecky for the consultation and hint from the explorer :)
    In case of problems please
    I close.
