Hello
I have a small problem and I am looking for a person who could advise me.
I was replacing the 2.0dti Astra engine, of course the post itself. When installing the pump, because I had a replacement once before, I have locks, I blocked everything with locks according to the descriptions and diagrams. After putting everything on, I noticed one disturbing thing.
Once, when I was replacing the pump itself on the car, I just didn't pay attention to whether this is a normal symptom.
When turning the crankshaft wrench, a certain moment appears on the upper chain as if the upper shaft is ahead of the crank (this is probably caused by the movement of the cams on the valves), i.e. it can be seen in the head that the chain loosens slightly once at the upper slide. At the same time, I noticed that the bottom slide, which is regulated by a pusher, moves at some points. Here, I hope that the movement of this slide is caused by the fact that there is no pressure in the oil system and the pusher does not fully tighten the chain.
The only thing that puzzles me is the loosening of the chain from the top between the camshaft and the injection pump.
Do you have knowledge whether after starting the engine this clearance will be compensated by oil pressure?
I note that I set three times, tried to stretch the chain on a loose camshaft pulley, the chain is not pulled out.
If anyone knows the topic, please help and thank you in advance
best regards
