    Hello!

I have a problem with Kianka.
Namely, the customer brought her a non-smoking car, the car was moving and without any prior warning, it quit smoking.
And there were 2 mechanics there before, one of them felt the bellows, tapped and went.
The second one replaced the shaft position sensor and said that the pump feeding in the boiler does not work (the pump is not in this car)
The fuel filter has been replaced, the fuel to the filter comes and from the filter to the high pump also ends here.

But what about the revolutions, where to look for the problem further, the sensor is replaced, the battery is new. It is possible that the new sensor is dead or look for a fault on the bundles for the computer etc ... Maybe some of you had such a problem and solved it ??

Regards and hope for a quick response!

The sensor is like a new one, but the next thing you need to check is whether the sensor has a power supply, because from what I remember there is a sensor with a 3-pin cube.
It is supposed to be a mass of power supply and you will find everything in google ;-)

Voltage is coming to the shaft position sensor. I threw in the old sensor is the same. The revolutions during shooting on the PLAKU increase to approx. 500 rpm.
The fuel comes from the filter to the high pressure pump, but there is no fuel from the pump to the pressure ramp.
    Someone something??

After playing my astra 1.9CR for the last time, I read a thread about a crash pressure control valve CR. This is just a hint, I'm not a good expert on the subject.

Overflows, even on the starter and cold.

I conclude that you do not have the equipment to check if there is timing or at least errors?
You also have a sensor on the camshaft and if it has a signal from the shaft or the camshaft, it does not release the pressure on the rail.
Check it in the same way as the shaft sensor - check if it has power.
There is a selenoid valve on the toilet pump, disconnect it and turn the starter to check if it is then pumping pressure on the rail.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a 2005 Kia Sorento 2.5 CRDi that suddenly stopped running without prior warning. The owner reports that two mechanics have attempted repairs, including replacing the shaft position sensor and fuel filter. Despite these efforts, the vehicle still fails to start, with fuel reaching the high-pressure pump but not exiting to the pressure rail. Suggestions from responders include checking the power supply to the shaft position sensor, verifying the camshaft sensor, and inspecting the solenoid valve on the fuel pump. The owner confirmed that voltage is present at the shaft position sensor, but the issue persists, indicating potential problems with timing or other sensors.
