    Hello,

I snapped my car key on the back seat - I put the key on the couch while adjusting the seat belts. In the meantime, the lock on the door was locked (I forgot about it). I got out of the car and slammed the door. I don't have a spare key. The car has an immobilizer.

Which method will be the least invasive / costly at this point?

Unfortunately, it happens that the cheapest option is to break the side window (not small windows are the most expensive). You can try to move the side door away from the body and try to pull it out with some wire. The option to break the glass is basically a last resort, but it can be the cheapest exchange) Item art

To be done without any problems, especially with the help of a second person and a prepared wooden wedge.

I succeeded with the help of wedges, or more precisely with a wire, I pushed the lever away from the tailgate. The clearcoat has suffered a bit, but the car has its years so there is no need to cry. The most important thing is that the key is saved, and on Monday I'm going to make some extra key.

If I can put in my three cents ;) it is worth attaching one spare key to the apartment keys and carrying them separately, not tied together.
